Ekiti State is a state in southwestern Nigeria, bordered to the north by Kwara State for 61 km, to the northeast by Kogi State for 92 km, to the south and southeast by Ondo State, and to the west by Osun State for 84 km. Named for the Ekiti people—the Yoruba subgroup that make up the majority of the state's population—Ekiti State was formed from a part of Ondo State in 1996 and has its capital as the city of Ado-Ekiti.

He was a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2014 he defected from the PDP and joined the newly formed opposition party All Progressive Congress (APC) where He was given the position of Deputy National Chairman South from 2014 to 2020.

Federal University Oye Ekiti is a government-owned and operated Nigerian university. The university has two campuses located in the ancient cities of Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti respectively. The university was founded in 2011 as one of the federal universities established by the federal government of Nigeria during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Kaduna Polytechnic is one of the earliest polytechnics in Nigeria, located at Tudun Wada area of Kaduna South local government of Kaduna state, North-Western Nigeria. It was established in 1956 as Kaduna Technical Institute after the British Government accepted the upgrading of Yaba Higher College to a technical institute and also proposed the establishment of technical institutes in Kaduna and Enugu through the recommendation of the Higher Education Commission. The polytechnic offers National Diploma and Higher National Diploma courses at the undergraduate level. In 2019/2020 academic session the institute will start awarding National Diploma in Railway Engineering Technology as approved by NBTE on 30 January 2020. The board of Governors of Kaduna Polytechnic was set up in 1991, with representative of eleven state governments, universities, rectors. The board is responsible for the supervision and control of the school. They are called the Governing Council.
Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo also known as FCE OYO was established on 5 October 1977, as Federal Advanced Teacher's college (Special). The institution, according to a UNDP/UNESCO 1996 report (NIR/87/008) "... Has the best qualify Staff in Special Education not only in Nigeria but in West, North, East and Central Africa." The College is the only one of its kind in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. It has the largest conglomeration of disabled students that could be found in any Higher Institution in Nigeria and the largest concentration of specialized facilities for teaching and training of teachers of the Handicapped in Nigeria. During its 40th anniversary celebration, the college gave special recognition award to former President Olusegun Obasanjo whose military administration brought about the upgrading of the Institution from the then Federal Advanced Teachers College to a College of Education with the mandate to award the National Certificate of Education (NCE) in 1977.
