Federico Vanelli (born 9 March 1991) is an Italian marathon swimmer. He placed seventh in the men's marathon 10 kilometre event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. [2] [3]

He saved the life of a 12-year-old who was about to drown [4] .

Gabriele Detti is an Italian competitive swimmer, who was for a time the world champion of the 800 m freestyle. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Martina Grimaldi is an Italian distance swimmer. She was born in Bologna. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's marathon 10 kilometre, winning the bronze medal.

Federico Poggio is an Italian swimmer. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, where he placed 15th in the semifinals of the 100 metre breaststroke event with a time of 59.91 seconds after qualifying for the semifinals with a time of 59.33 seconds in the preliminary heats. In February 2022, he announced he was refocusing on coursework in sports science as he worked through some physical injuries that were affecting his swimming performances.

Manuel Frigo is an Italian swimmer. As part of the men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay team, he won silver in the 2020 Summer Olympics and bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Dario Verani is an Italian competitive open water swimmer. At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, he won the world title and gold medal in the 25 kilometre open water swim. He won the silver medal in the 25 kilometre open water swim at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships and the bronze medal in the 5 kilometre open water swim at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships. He was champion in the 5 kilometre open water swim at the inaugural Mediterranean Beach Games in 2015.
