Fender Lizards is a novel written by American author Joe R. Lansdale. It tells the story of 17-year-old Dorothy "Dot" Sherman growing up in East Texas. [1]
17-year-old Dot Sherman is growing up in a small town in East Texas, living in a double wide trailer with her mother, grandmother, and little brother. When she was 12 her father went to get a pack of cigarettes and never returned. Dot works at the local "Dairy Bob" named after Bob the owner. All the girls serve their customers on roller skates and have nicknamed themselves "Fender Lizards". The story is told from Dot's narrative point of view. [2]
One day Dot's uncle Elbert shows up and parks his van in her front yard and Dot is eager for information about her absentee father. Elbert claims to have just been released from prison for a botched bank robbery. One day Dot's older sister Raylynn shows up for work at the Dairy Bob with bruises and black eyes. Dot goes and fetches Raylynn's kids and returns to her sister's trailer. She hides and waits for Raylynn's husband to come home drunk and then beats him senseless with a couple of 2 by 4's. Raylynn and her kids then move into the already crowded trailer. One day notices go up that a circus is coming to town featuring a women's Roller Derby team. Dot and the other Fender Lizards decide to train to take on the roller derby team coming to town with a prize of $10,000 for any team that beats them. Elbert used to roller skate as a circus clown and agrees to train the girls. [3]

Book of the Dead is an anthology of horror stories first published in 1989, edited by John Skipp and Craig Spector and featuring a foreword written by George A. Romero. The league was founded as Boston Derby Dames in May 2005, and is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). The league's all-star team, the Boston Massacre, was one of the top 25 WFTDA Division 1 teams in the world through most of the duration of the divisional ranking system introduced in early 2013, and as of December 31, 2015, the Massacre was ranked at 21. Boston won the WFTDA Division 2 Championship in 2017 and the North America East Continental Cup in 2018.

It was later reissued as a trade paperback by Vintage Crime/Black Lizard publications. The Subterranean editions have long since sold out.

Hell's Bounty is a horror novel written by American brothers Joe R. Lansdale and John L. Lansdale. It takes place in the old western town of Falling Rock. Bounty hunter Smith sets off a chain of events as he searches for one bad hombre Quill. He is blown to hell, literally, where he makes a deal with a bartender Snappy, who is really Satan. He will save Smith from the bowels of hell if he returns to Falling Rock and stops Quill who has made a deal with the "Old Ones" who are so evil even Satan can't abide. Smith teams up with a whip snapping redhead whore named Payday, a legless man called Undertaker, and a whisky drinking doctor to stop Quill who has turned into a winged demon and has turned the people of the town into ghouls to try to stop Smith and his band from ruining his plans.
