A Ghost Is Born is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Wilco. Released on June 22, 2004, it features singer Jeff Tweedy on lead guitar more than any previous Wilco album. The band streamed the album online free, and offered a five-song EP to purchasers.

Jubilation is the tenth and final studio album by Canadian/American rock group the Band. Mermaid Avenue is a 1998 album of previously unheard lyrics written by American folk singer Woody Guthrie, put to music written and performed by British singer Billy Bragg and the American band Wilco. The project was the first of several such projects organized by Guthrie's daughter, Nora Guthrie, original director of the Woody Guthrie Foundation and archives. Mermaid Avenue was released on the Elektra Records label on June 23, 1998. A second volume of recordings, Mermaid Avenue Vol. II, followed in 2000 and both were collected in a box set alongside volume three in 2012 as Mermaid Avenue: The Complete Sessions. The projects are named after the song "Mermaid's Avenue", written by Guthrie. This was also the name of the street in Coney Island, New York, on which Guthrie lived. According to American Songwriter Magazine, "The Mermaid Avenue project is essential for showing that Woody Guthrie could illuminate what was going on inside of him as well as he could detail the plight of his fellow man". It was voted number 939 in Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums 3rd Edition (2000).

Evolution is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Martina McBride. It was released in August 1997 by RCA Nashville. The album produced six singles, all of which have charted on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The first single, "Still Holding On", is a duet with Clint Black and was originally recorded by Black on his 1997 album Nothin' but the Taillights. "Still Holding On" peaked at number 11. The second and fifth singles, "A Broken Wing" and "Wrong Again", both reached number one. "A Broken Wing" was also McBride's first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and was her first major crossover hit. The album's third single, "Valentine", a duet with Jim Brickman", is a re-recording of a song which Brickman and McBride previously released from his 1997 album Picture This. The original Picture This version charted at #3 on the AC charts and #68 on the country charts, while the re-recording featured on the Evolution album was a Top 10 country hit, with a peak at number 9. The fourth and six singles, "Happy Girl" and "Whatever You Say", both peaked at number 2. The album was certified 3× Platinum by the RIAA.
