The Khalistan movement is a Sikh separatist movement seeking to create a homeland for Sikhs by establishing a sovereign state, called Khālistān, in the Punjab region. The proposed state would consist of land that currently forms Punjab, India and Punjab, Pakistan.

Som Parkash is a politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India. He is a Member of Parliament from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha Constituency and an Ex-MLA from Phagwara. Parkash Singh Badal Indian politician (born 1927)

Parkash Singh Badal is an Indian politician who was Chief Minister of Punjab state from 1970 to 1971, from 1977 to 1980, from 1997 to 2002, and from 2007 to 2017. He is also the patron of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), a Sikh-centered regional political party. He was the president of the party from 1995 to 2008, when he was replaced by his son Sukhbir Singh Badal. As the patron of SAD he exercises a strong influence on the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. The Government of India awarded him the second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, in 2015.

Sukhbir Singh Badal is an Indian politician and the president of Shiromani Akali Dal, and is currently a member of Parliament from the Ferozpur. He served as Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab from 2009 to 2017. He is the son of Parkash Singh Badal, who has served several times as Chief Minister of Punjab. Badal and his family have ownership stakes in any array of businesses.

He joined the Aam Aadmi Party just before the 2017 Punjab Legislative Assembly election. He contested from Dirba Assembly constituency against a popular Punjabi Kabbadi player Gulzar Singh Moonak from Shiromani Akali Dal and Ajaib Singh Ratolan from Indian National Congress. In July 2018 he was appointed leader of opposition of Punjab Legislative Assembly. He is considered as the Second-in command in the Government

Harjot Singh Bains is an Indian politician of AAP from Punjab.

Harbhajan Singh ETO Indian politician

Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. is an Indian politician and the MLA from Jandiala Assembly constituency. He is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party. He became an Excise and Taxation Officer in 2012 but he took voluntary retirement from the post of ETO in 2017 and he contested election from Jandiala constituency in 2017. He secured 33912 votes in 2017 and was among the highest vote gatherers in Majha region of Punjab in 2017. In 2022 he won from the same constituency with a margin of almost 25000+ votes defeating working president and sitting MLA Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal Indian politician

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal is an Indian politician and the MLA representing the Ajnala Assembly constituency. He is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party.

The Bhagwant Mann ministry is the State Cabinet of Punjab, India headed by the present Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The oath-taking ceremony of Mann was held at Khatkar Kalan village on 16 March 2022. The 10 cabinet ministers took oath on 19 March.
