The Filthy Animals were a professional wrestling faction in World Championship Wrestling [1] from 1999 until 2001.
The plan for the stable was to be WCW's version of the World Wrestling Federation's D-Generation X. [2] Instead of being strictly villains (heels) or heroes (faces), they were in between (tweeners). [2] They pulled pranks and hijinks on both villains and fan favorites alike. They would steal wallets and mock older wrestlers. They broke into Ric Flair's locker room and stole one of his famous entrance robes, which they took turns wearing and imitating Flair's signature strut and "Wooo!".
During a promo on the May 27, 1999 edition of Thunder, Konnan specifically thanked Rey Mysterio Jr., Billy Kidman, and Kevin Nash for watching his back. Mentioning that some people thought the young WCW stars weren't "good enough," Konnan stated they were "filthy animals" and were out for new and old blood.
The Filthy Animals were officially named so on the August 16, 1999 edition of WCW Monday Nitro , as Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed Billy Kidman in the ring, with Kidman stating a new group of friends (Kidman, Rey Mysterio Jr., Eddie Guerrero, and Konnan) were "just a bunch of filthy animals" who hung out both on and off camera. In the weeks prior, the group had started teaming to combat the Dead Pool stable of Vampiro, Raven, and the Insane Clown Posse. They later mainly feuded with The Revolution, which was composed of Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Shane Douglas and Perry Saturn.
Eddie Guerrero invented some of his more memorable shtick while with the Filthy Animals, including his famous fake chair knock out (he would knock his opponent out with a chair while the referee was distracted, then drape the chair on their unconscious body, and pretend to be knocked out himself, usually with the referee turning around just in time to see his opponent waking up wondering why they were holding a chair and getting disqualified. Eddie would, from time to time, open one eye to peek or wink to the crowd and gesture them to "shhhh!").

Charles Rudy Ashenoff, better known by his ring name Konnan, is a Cuban-born American professional wrestling personality, manager, and former professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). In Impact, he was the manager of The Latin American Xchange (LAX) and currently serves as a member of the creative team. During a career spanning almost three decades, he has wrestled for independent and national promotions in the United States and Mexico, and held fifteen title belts in nine promotions. He was also involved in the creation of Lucha Underground, where he was supposed to serve as a writer and producer, but ended up in an on-camera role as manager to Prince Puma throughout the first season. Outside of wrestling, Konnan is an occasional rapper.

The Latino World Order is a professional wrestling faction consisting of wrestlers with Latin American and Filipino American backgrounds. Originally performing in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1998 to 1999, the group was led by Eddie Guerrero. In 2023, it was revived in WWE on the SmackDown brand by new leader Rey Mysterio, who is the only wrestler to be a member of both versions of the group. It currently consists of Mysterio, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Zelina Vega, and Carlito. Mysterio is a former one-time WWE United States Champion as part of the stable.
When Worlds Collide was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event that took place on November 6, 1994, at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California. It was scripted and produced by the Mexican lucha libre company Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), now known as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, and their American partner, International Wrestling Council (IWC). The show was produced by the technical staff of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). WCW Executive Vice-President Eric Bischoff had helped AAA secure the show to be broadcast by American pay-per-view providers, marking the first time a non-US-based wrestling promotion was shown live on US PPV television. The show was broadcast in both English and Spanish. Chris Cruise and Mike Tenay called the action in English, while Arturo Rivera and Andrés Maroñas handled the Spanish announcing. This event also marked Tenay's first commentating role in professional wrestling.
