Firewheel Golf Park is a public golf course located in Garland, Texas. [1] It is a regular host of the North Texas PGA Junior Championships and many other tournaments. [2] [3]

Contents

The section of Garland, Texas called Firewheel was created after this public golf course. Firewheel Town Center and many of the neighborhoods were built up around this golf course.

History

The Firewheel Golf Park golf course was built in 1983.

The Detroit Golf Club is a private golf club located in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan in the middle of a neighborhood area on north side of the city near the University of Detroit Mercy and Palmer Woods Historic District. Bert Way designed the original 6-hole course. It was expanded to 9 holes, and finally Donald Ross built the current 36-hole course. The club grounds crew maintains two courses, the North and the South Course. The head pro is Josh Upson. Firewheel is an upscale masterplanned community in the Dallas suburb of Garland, Texas. Development began principally in the late 1990s. Due to proximity to the President George Bush Turnpike, new development of residential homes and large scale retail has been constant. The majority of Firewheel is located in Dallas County with a small portion located in Collin County. Residents of Firewheel have excellent access to nearby areas of Garland, the central city of Dallas and nearby suburbs of Plano, Richardson & Sachse.
