The First Mas Government was the regional government of Catalonia led by President Artur Mas between 2010 and 2012. It was formed in December 2010 following the regional election and ended in December 2012 following the regional election.

Artur Mas i Gavarró is a Catalan politician. He was president of the Government of Catalonia from 2010 to 2015 and acting president from September 2015 to 12 January 2016.
The Montilla Government was the regional government of Catalonia led by President José Montilla between 2006 and 2010. It was formed in November 2006 following the regional election and ended in December 2010 following the regional election.
The 2012 Catalan independence demonstration was a protest which occurred in central Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain, on 11 September 2012 during the National Day of Catalonia. The protestors demanded the independence of Catalonia and its establishment as a sovereign state under the slogan "Catalonia, new state in Europe". It was organized by the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) and headed together with the Association of Municipalities for Independence as the most prominent of a series of events known as "March towards Independence" which began on 30 June 2012 in Lleida.
The 2012 Catalan regional election was held on Sunday, 25 November 2012, to elect the 10th Parliament of the autonomous community of Catalonia. All 135 seats in the Parliament were up for election. It was a snap election, announced on 25 September by President Artur Mas following the pro-independence demonstration in Barcelona on 11 September—the National Day of Catalonia—and the failed talks between President Mas and Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to give greater fiscal autonomy to Catalonia.
Joana Ortega i Alemany was the vice president of the government of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Counsellor of Government and Institutional Relations from 2010 until 2015. She has also been a deputy at the Parliament of Catalonia from 2006 to 2015. She was the first woman who has occupied the seat of vice president.
Oriol Junqueras i Vies is a Catalan politician and historian. A former mayor of the municipality of Sant Vicenç dels Horts in Catalonia, Junqueras served as Vice President of Catalonia from January 2016 to October 2017, when he was removed from office following the Catalan declaration of independence and entered prison until June 2021 for his role in organizing the 2017 Catalan independence referendum. He is president of the Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC). Born in 1969 in Barcelona, Junqueras grew up in the municipality of Sant Vicenç dels Horts. After graduating from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he taught history at the university.
A non-binding Catalan self-determination referendum, also known as the Citizen Participation Process on the Political Future of Catalonia, was held on Sunday, 9 November 2014, to gauge support on the political future of Catalonia. While also referred to as "Catalan independence referendum", the vote was rebranded as a "participation process" by the Government of Catalonia, after a "non-referendum popular consultation" on the same topic and for the same date had been suspended by the Constitutional Court of Spain.
Irene Rigau i Oliver is a Catalan politician from Spain, born in Banyoles in 1951.
The Second Mas Government was the regional government of Catalonia led by President Artur Mas between 2012 and 2016. It was formed in December 2012 following the regional election and ended in January 2016 following the Mas' resignation.
Roger Torrent i Ramió is a Spanish politician and urban planner from Catalonia. A former mayor of the municipality of Sarrià de Ter in north-eastern Spain, Torrent was President of the Parliament of Catalonia from January 2018 until March 2021. Since 26 May 2021 he is the Minister of Business and Work of Catalonia.
Joaquim Torra i Pla, known as Quim Torra, is a Catalan lawyer and journalist from Spain. He served as President of the Government of Catalonia from 17 May 2018 to 28 September 2020, when the Supreme Court of Spain confirmed a court ruling by the High Court of Justice of Catalonia condemning him for disobeying the Central Electoral Board during the April 2019 general election, leading to his disqualification from office.
Elsa Artadi i Vila is a Spanish economist, academic and politician from Catalonia. Artadi is a member of the Parliament of Catalonia and was previously Minister of the Presidency and Government Spokesperson of Catalonia.
Laura Borràs i Castanyer is a Spanish philologist, academic and politician from Catalonia who was the President of the Parliament of Catalonia until her suspension as member of the Parliament of Catalonia under allegations of corruption.

Maria Àngels Chacón i Feixas is a Spanish politician from Catalonia who served as Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Catalan government.
Jordi Puigneró i Ferrer is a Catalan IT engineer and politician. He served as Vice President of Spanish Autonomous Community of Catalonia and Minister of Digital Policies and Territory since May 2021 until 29 September 2022. He previously served between 2018 and 2021 as minister of Digital Policies and Public Administration of the Government of Catalonia. He is a member of Together for Catalonia (JUNTS) political party. He is considered the designer and architecture of the Catalan Digital Republic project.
Bernat Solé i Barril is a Spanish industrial engineer and politician from Catalonia, member of the Parliament of Catalonia and Minister of Foreign Action, Institutional Relations and Transparency of Catalonia between 2020 and 2021. He was previously mayor of Agramunt. He is currently awaiting trial on charges of disobedience for his role in the Catalan declaration of independence.
