The Fisker Pear is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by American electric vehicle company Fisker Inc.
In February 2022, Fisker Inc. opened pre-orders for its future electric crossover named Pear (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution). This is the result of a partnership between Fisker and Foxconn. [5] Fisker describes the Pear as an "agile urban electric vehicle"; with a length of approximately 4.50 m (14.8 ft), it can accommodate five people. [6]
The Pear will be produced at the Lordstown Assembly in Lordstown, Ohio, with a production capacity of 250,000 units per year. According to Fisker, its electric crossover will be made using recycled materials and components. The production plant, meanwhile, should only run on renewable energy. [7] As of May 2022, Fisker is releasing teasers to gradually reveal the exterior design of the Pear. The latter uses aesthetic elements inspired by the Ocean, especially on the front. [8] The Pear, which joins the Ocean in the Fisker range, is aimed to be launched in 2025. The price of the vehicle at launch would be around $30,000. [5]
In March 2024, due to the ongoing financial difficulties Fisker Inc was facing, it was announced that development of the Pear had been paused while the company sought a partnership with a larger car manufacturer in order to secure funds. [9]
