Fletcher Sharpe (born 3 May 2004) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a fullback for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League.

Background

Born in Maitland, New South Wales, Sharpe played his junior rugby league for the Cessnock Goannas, before being signed by the Newcastle Knights.

Playing career

Early years

Sharpe spent his early years rising through the junior ranks for the Newcastle Knights. [2] [3]

2024

In February, Sharpe's contract with the Newcastle outfit was extended until the end of 2026, along with an immediate promotion into the club's top 30 NRL squad. [4] In round 14 of the 2024 NRL season, he made his NRL debut for Newcastle against the Melbourne Storm, [5] scoring a try on debut in their 28–36 loss. [6]

The 2021 Newcastle Knights season was the 34th in the club's history.
