Initial rounds consist of a large number of hopeful contestants from across India individually "auditioning" by presenting a food dish before the judges in order to gain one of top 16 places. The contestants will then be whittled down through a number of individual and team-based cooking challenges and weekly elimination rounds until a winning SuperChef is crowned. The winner plays for a prize that includes getting to host a cookery show on FoodFood, the chance to have their own cookbook published, and a cash prize.

Saransh Goila is an Indian chef who won Food Food Maha Challenge. He is the founder of a popular Mumbai-based restaurant 'Goila Butter Chicken' and author of the acclaimed food travelogue 'India on my Platter'. In 2018 he was invited to be a guest judge from India on Masterchef Australia where contestants had to cook his version of Butter Chicken. In 2013 he participated in the show, Sanjeev Kapoor Ke Kitchen Khiladi, which went on air on 16 September 2013 on Sony India. He is the host of the TV Show Roti Rasta aur India and Healthy Fridge on Food Food channel. He is based in Mumbai. In 2016 Saransh started his restaurant Goila Butter Chicken.
Cutthroat Kitchen is an American cooking show hosted by Alton Brown that aired on the Food Network from August 11, 2013 to July 19, 2017. It features four chefs competing in a three-round elimination cooking competition. The contestants face auctions in which they can purchase opportunities to sabotage one another. Each chef is given $25,000 at the start of the show; the person left standing keeps whatever money they have not spent in the auctions. The show ended on its 15th season in July 2017. The series shares some basic elements with other four-chef, three-round elimination-style competitions on Food Network including Chopped and Guy's Grocery Games. Numerous Cutthroat Kitchen contestants have competed on these shows.

Guy's Grocery Games is an American reality-based cooking television game show hosted by Guy Fieri on Food Network. Each episode features four chefs competing in a three-round elimination contest, cooking food with ingredients found in a supermarket grocery store as Fieri poses unusual challenges to them. The winning chef of the episode can collect up to $20,000 in a shopping spree bonus round. The show often features chefs from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, another show hosted by Fieri. The show Dessert Games was a short-lived spin-off.
Food Fighters is an American reality based cooking television series hosted by Adam Richman that pits a home chef against five professional chefs in a series of cooking competitions for a chance to win up to $100,000. The series premiered July 22, 2014 on NBC as a summer replacement series. On January 21, 2015, NBC renewed the show for a second season. The second season premiered July 2, 2015 and concluded September 3, 2015. In season one, new episodes aired every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, while in season two new episodes aired every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. A third season was not announced by NBC, and as of July 2016, the show is no longer listed by the network as a current show.

It is a singing talent hunt for the children of age group 6–14. This is the junior version of the Super Singer show, which premiered in 2006. Auditions are held in various parts of Tamil Nadu, India. Spring Baking Championship is an American cooking competition television series that airs on Food Network. It was originally presented by chef Bobby Deen; with fellow Food Network chefs Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale serving as judges. All four chefs also appeared in the same roles on Holiday Baking Championship; and similar to that competition, the grand prize for the winner of this competition is also $50,000.
