Webster Gradney Jr. who performs under the mononym Webbie, is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He's been signed to the independent Trill Entertainment label since 2003. In 2005 he came into the hip hop scene with "Gimme That" featuring Bun B. His songs "Bad Bitch" and "Swerve" were featured on Gangsta Musik, his 2003 group album with Lil Boosie, and in the 2005 movie Hustle & Flow. Torence Ivy Hatch Jr., better known by his stage name Boosie BadAzz or simply Boosie, is an American rapper. Hatch began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the Southern hip hop collective Concentration Camp, eventually pursuing a solo career in 2000 with the release of his debut album Youngest of da Camp. After leaving the label the following year, he signed with Pimp C's Trill Entertainment to release his second studio album, For My Thugz (2002). One of the most prominent figures of Southern hip hop, Hatch has gone on to release thirteen solo studio albums, as well as seven collaborative albums and 44 mixtapes.

The album debuted at number 18 on the US Billboard 200, selling 41,000 copies in the first week. Its lead single, "Zoom", made it to number 61 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Plies was a wide receiver on the Miami Redskins football team of Miami University in Ohio for two years in 1995 before embarking on a musical career. It was self-released on January 1, 2016, a few months after the artist announced that he had cancer and underwent surgery. In this effort, the rapper talks about his experiences during that period of his life. The album peaked at number 105 on the Billboard 200, number 11 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, number 8 on the Top Rap Albums and number 4 on the Independent Albums in the United States. Music videos were released for "Cancer", "Smile To Keep From Crying", "The Rain" and "Forgive Me Being Lost". The sequel to the album, Out My Feelings in My Past, was released on the fifth of February the same year.
