Gangsta Musik is the second collaboration album from the duo Lil Boosie and Webbie. The album had well-known hits such as "Swerve" (which would be later used on the film Hustle &Flow ) and "Give Me That" (featuring Bun B). The album sold 320,000 overall in the U.S.

Gangsta rap or gangster rap,initially called reality rap,is a subgenre of rap music that conveys the culture and values typical of urban gangs,reality of the world and street hustlers. Emerging in the late 1980s,gangsta rap's pioneers include Schoolly D of Philadelphia and Ice-T of Los Angeles,later expanding in California with artists such as N.W.A and Tupac Shakur. In 1992,via record producer and rapper Dr. Dre,rapper Snoop Dogg,and their G-funk sound,gangster rap broadened to mainstream popularity.
Artis Leon Ivey Jr.,known by his stage name Coolio,was an American rapper and chef. He was best known for his single "Gangsta's Paradise" (1995),which won a Grammy Award,and was credited for changing the course of hip hop by bringing it to a wider audience. Other singles included "Fantastic Voyage" (1994),"1,2,3,4 " (1996),and "C U When U Get There" (1997). He released nine albums,the first three of which achieved mainstream success:It Takes a Thief (1994),Gangsta's Paradise (1995),and My Soul (1997). Coolio first achieved recognition as a member of the gangsta rap group WC and the Maad Circle. Coolio sold 4.8 million albums in the U.S.
Three 6 Mafia is an American hip hop group from Memphis,Tennessee,formed in 1991. Emerging as a horror-themed underground hip hop group,they would eventually go on to enjoy mainstream success. The group's 1995 debut album Mystic Stylez became an influential cult classic. They have released music on independent labels such as Prophet Entertainment and their own Hypnotize Minds label,as well as Relativity,Loud,and Columbia Records.
Delmar Drew Arnaud,known professionally as Daz Dillinger or simply Daz,is an American rapper and record producer. As a member of Death Row Records in the early 1990s,he is credited with the label in pioneering West Coast hip hop and gangsta rap for mainstream audiences. Alongside Kurupt,he formed the hip hop duo tha Dogg Pound in 1992,with whom he has released eight albums.

Interpolating Stevie Wonder's song "Pastime Paradise" (1976),"Gangsta's Paradise" features vocals from American singer L.V. who served as a co-composer and co-lyricist with Coolio and Doug Rasheed,with Wonder also being credited for the composition and lyrics. Certified Platinum in October,the song was included on Coolio's second album,Gangsta's Paradise,in November 1995. Its music video was directed by Antoine Fuqua and featured Michelle Pfeiffer. The song is taken from Pfeiffer's movie,Dangerous Minds and the music video is also themed around the movie.

In 2005 he came into the hip hop scene with "Gimme That" featuring Bun B. His songs "Bad Bitch" and "Swerve" were featured on Gangsta Musik,his 2003 group album with Lil Boosie,and in the 2005 movie Hustle &Flow. Webbie's second album,Savage Life 2,was released in early 2008 with the hit single "Independent" featuring Lil Boosie and Lil Phat.
Tyree Cinque Simmons,known professionally as DJ Drama,is an American disc jockey (DJ),record executive and music promoter. He initially gained recognition as the DJ for Atlanta-based rapper T.I.,and continued to gain prominence hosting mixtapes for other hip hop artists. His trademark Gangsta Grillz series is present on releases of which he has compiled;it has been popularized by artists including Lil Wayne,Tyler the Creator,Snoop Dogg,Yo Gotti,YoungBoy Never Broke Again,Fabolous,Jeezy,Meek Mill,and Gucci Mane,among others. Alongside record producer and fellow Philadelphia native Don Cannon,he co-founded the record label Generation Now in 2015,an imprint of Atlantic Records which has signed artists including Lil Uzi Vert and Jack Harlow.
