Forest Heights is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in Orange County, Texas, United States. It is located immediately east of State Highway 87 in northeastern Orange County, approximately five miles north of Little Cypress and eight miles north of Orange. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had an estimated population of 250 in 2000. [1] Forest Heights is part of the Beaumont – Port Arthur Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Public education in the community is provided by the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Consolidated Independent School District.

Little Cypress is a large unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in the northern area of Orange in Orange County, Texas, United States. The settlement was probably named for nearby Little Cypress Bayou and began sometime after the Civil War, when the first school was built. The first census figures for Little Cypress were available in 1990, when the town reported 1,050 residents. The area is not an official town, nor has it ever been, but is a part of the city of Orange.
