Little Cypress-Mauriceville Consolidated Independent School District is a public school district located in northeastern Orange County, Texas (USA).

The district serves the communities of Little Cypress and Mauriceville.

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically unacceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. [1]

In 2017, Little Cypress-Mauriceville High was affected by flooding when Hurricane Harvey hit Orange, Texas. [ citation needed ]

Little Cypress is a large unincorporated community in the northern area of Orange in Orange County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Beaumont–Port Arthur Metropolitan Statistical Area. The settlement was probably named for nearby Little Cypress Bayou and began sometime after the Civil War, when the first school was built. The first census figures for Little Cypress were available in 1990, when the town reported 1,050 residents. The area is not an official town, nor has it ever been, but is a part of the city of Orange.

She later attended Louisiana State University, where she pitched on the LSU Tigers softball team. Trahan led the Tigers to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, where they advanced as far as the Super Regionals in 2007.
