The Forest Products Tournament was a golf tournament held in New Zealand from 1964 to 1966. The event was hosted by Tokoroa Golf Club in Tokoroa. The 1966 event resulted in a tie between Bob Charles and Tony Jacklin. The event was part of the New Zealand Golf Circuit.

The New Zealand Open is the premier men's golf tournament in New Zealand. It has been a regular fixture on the PGA Tour of Australasia tournament schedule since the 1970s. The 2019 event was the 100th edition of the tournament. Since 2014 it has been held as a pro-am in February or March.

The New Zealand Wills Masters was a golf tournament held in New Zealand played from 1965 to 1967. The Wills Classic had been held in New Zealand in 1963 and 1964. A Wills Masters tournament was also held in Australia from 1963. The tournament had prize money of NZ£2,000 in 1966 and NZ$4,000 in 1967. The event was part of the New Zealand Golf Circuit. The sponsor was W.D. & H.O. Wills, a cigarette manufacturer.

The Air New Zealand Shell Open was a golf tournament held in New Zealand between 1975 and 1994. The event was the New Zealand Airlines Classic in 1975 and 1976 and the New Zealand Airlines Open in 1977. The Grange hosted the first and final editions of the event but Titirangi hosted the event the most, 14 times between 1977 and 1991. The only other courses to host the event were Russley (1976) and Wellington (1979).

The tournament was held in early January, although the 1972 event started on 30 December 1971.

The Metalcraft Tournament was a golf tournament held in New Zealand from 1963 to 1967. Peter Thomson won the event twice, tying in 1963 and winning outright in 1965. The event was part of the New Zealand Golf Circuit.

The Caltex Tournament was a golf tournament held at Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club in Paraparaumu, New Zealand from 1955 to 1972.

Robert James Stanton is a retired professional golfer from Australia. He had considerable success in the late 1960s, winning a number of tournaments in Australia and playing on the PGA Tour. As a 20-year-old, he won the 1966 Dunlop International, beating Arnold Palmer in a sudden-death playoff. He never won on the PGA Tour but was runner-up twice, in the 1969 AVCO Golf Classic and the 1970 Florida Citrus Invitational. He had a brief return of form in 1974/1975 and again for a few years from 1982.

The Sloan Morpeth Trophy was an amateur team golf tournament, played between Australia and New Zealand. It was contested irregularly from 1947 to 2016. The trophy was presented by Sloan Morpeth in 1956. From 1993 to 2005 the two countries played each other as part of the Four Nations Team Championship, a competition which also involved Canada and Japan, while from 2007 to 2012 it was played as part of the Trans Tasman Cup. In 2016 the trophy was contested using scores from the two qualifying rounds of the Australian Amateur.

Stuart Gwyn Jones was a leading amateur golfer from New Zealand.

Harry Williamson Berwick was an Australian golfer. He won the Australian Amateur twice, in 1950 and 1956, and won the 1952 New Zealand Amateur. He won two open titles in 1956, the Lakes Open and the New Zealand Open. He was part of the Australian teams that won the 1954 Commonwealth Tournament at St Andrews and the 1966 Eisenhower Trophy in Mexico City. He turned professional at the age of 52.

Bob Tuohy is a former Australian professional golfer and current tournament director.
