Forsgate Country Club is a country club located in Monroe Township, New Jersey. The club has two distinctively different eighteen hole golf courses, an historic clubhouse with two dining facilities, tennis court, a pool and fitness center. The club is private for golf and dining, but is available to non-members for meetings, catering, and golf outings. The club and its associated housing developments comprise the Forsgate census-designated place.

Banks Course

The Banks Course was created by Charles “Steamshovel” Banks in 1931. [1]

This Horseshoe completely surrounded by bunkers, this par three is a copy of many elevated short holes in Scotland. "Buried elephants" is one way to describe the horseshoe-shaped undulation.[ citation needed ]

Palmer Course

Originally created by Hal Purdy in 1961, but redesigned in 1995 by the Arnold Palmer Group and again in 2007 by Steven Kay.

Busch Campus is one of the five sub-campuses at Rutgers University's New Brunswick/Piscataway area campus, and is located entirely within Piscataway, New Jersey, US. Horseshoe Valley Resort, formerly Horseshoe Valley Ski Club, is an Ontario ski resort and four season vacation destination. Located north of Barrie, the resort is 110 km north of Toronto. The resort enjoys a long ski season due to snowmaking abilities. Acquired by Freed Hotels and Resorts in 2021, Horseshoe Resort is spread out over 680 acres (280 ha) of land. The 1903 U.S. Open was the ninth U.S. Open, held June 26–29 at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, west of New York City. Willie Anderson won the second of his four U.S. Open titles in a playoff over David Brown. The championship was played on the original course at Baltusrol, now known as the Old Course, which no longer exists.

The 1915 U.S. Open was the 21st U.S. Open, held June 17–18 at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, west of New York City. Four-time U.S. Amateur champion Jerome Travers captured his only U.S. Open title, one stroke ahead of runner-up Tom McNamara. The championship was played on the original course at Baltusrol, now known as the Old Course, which no longer exists.

The 1961 U.S. Women's Open was the 16th U.S. Women's Open, held June 29 to July 1 at the Lower Course of Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey.

The South Mountain Recreation Complex is a 36-acre recreation facility in Essex County, located within the boundaries of the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, New Jersey, United States. The complex is managed as part of the Essex County Park System. Activities at the complex include a zoo, ice skating/hockey rinks, a safari-theme miniature golf course, a forest adventure park, a restaurant, paddle boats, a nautical theme playground, and a 1.75 miles (2.82 km) walking loop around the Orange Reservoir.

Tom Bendelow designed the predecessor 9 hole course in 1896. In 1999, Ron Prichard completed a full restoration.
