Fort Conrad was a U.S. Army fort established in Socorro County, New Mexico Territory in 1851.

Fort Conrad was located near modern Tiffany, New Mexico. [1] It was on the west side of the Rio Grande. Because of its location, it was later abandoned for Fort Craig in 1854. [2]

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, located in southwestern Oklahoma near Lawton, has protected unique wildlife habitats since 1901 and is the oldest managed wildlife facility in the United States Fish and Wildlife Service system. The refuge's location in the geologically unique Wichita Mountains and its areas of undisturbed mixed grass prairie make it an important conservation area. The Wichitas are approximately 500 million years old. Measuring about 59,020 acres (238.8 km2), the refuge hosts a great diversity of species: 806 plant species, 240 species of birds, 36 fish, and 64 reptiles and amphibians are present.

Jaburg Glacier

Jaburg Glacier is a broad glacier draining westward between the Dufek Massif and the Cordiner Peaks in the Pensacola Mountains of Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1956–66. The glacier was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Lieutenant Conrad J. Jaburg, U.S. Navy, a helicopter pilot with the Ellsworth Station winter party, 1957.

It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–65, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for helicopter pilot Lieutenant Commander Conrad S. Larson, U.S. Navy, officer in charge of the helicopter detachment aboard the icebreaker USCGC Eastwind during Operation Deep Freeze, 1955–56.

San Rafael is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cibola County, New Mexico, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 933. Also known as "Bikyaya" or "El Gallo", it lies at an elevation of 6,470 feet (1,970 m) above sea level and is located in north-central Cibola County at. New Mexico State Road 53 passes through the community, leading north 3 miles (5 km) to Interstate 40 and 5 miles (8 km) to the center of Grants, the county seat.
