The Fort Wayne United FC Gryphons is a 3-tier (Academy, Elite, and Premier) developmental soccer club based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and was created in 2013 by the merger of Fort Wayne Fever and Citadel Futbol Club. The club is a nonprofit (c)3 organization. [1] The women's team competes in United Women's Soccer.

Sponsors

The current sponsor for uniforms is Puma. The soccer league has partnered with Puma since its creation in fall 2013. [4] The league is also sponsored by Penn Station East Coast Subs, [5] Parkview Health Network, and the Beasley National Soccer School. [6]

The goalkeepers wear the same uniforms, except the jerseys are a long-sleeved orange jersey with purple accents and a short-sleeved purple jersey with white accents. [8]

At this time, the Rough Riders transitioned names and became known as the Lady Riders for several years. In 2007, the Rough Riders acquired territorial and franchise rights to the women's Lady Riders team. For the first time since 1997, the men's and women's teams would be under the same name and they have been ever since. The team is a member of United Women's Soccer, the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada. The team competes in the Eastern Conference. The Rough Riders were an original member of the USL W-League and played in all 21 seasons before the league disbanded in late 2015.

Detroit City Football Club (DCFC) is an American professional soccer club based in Detroit, Michigan that competes in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Prior to joining the NISA in 2019, the club played in the Midwest Region of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national amateur league in the unofficial fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The club played its home matches at Cass Technical High School in Midtown Detroit until 2015, before moving to Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, an enclave of Detroit. The club is managed by Trevor James, a former Ipswich Town F.C. player who later was an assistant coach and scout under Bobby Robson.

The team finished in seventh place during the spring season, and is currently in third place during the fall season.

The 2013 Newcastle Knights season was the 26th in the club's history. Coached by Wayne Bennett and captained by Kurt Gidley, they competed in the NRL's 2013 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season in 7th place, thus reaching the finals. The Knights then came within one match of the grand final but were knocked out by eventual premiers, the Sydney Roosters.

United Women's Soccer is a second-division pro-am women's soccer league in the United States. The league was founded in 2015 as a response to the dual problems of disorganization in the WPSL and of the folding of the USL W-League. The league began play in May 2016 with eleven teams in two conferences. The first league currently has 38 teams in 6 conferences and second league currently has 36 teams in 6 conferences.
