Fotema is a 2023 Indian Bengali-language drama film directed by Atiul Islam and produced by Mita Sarkar. It stars Rahul Banerjee, newcomer actress Moon Sarkar, and Laboni Sarkar. [2] [3] [4]

The film was released under the banner of PM Movies on 28 July, 2023. [5] It was successful at the box office.

Synopsis

After Fotema's father becomes paralyzed, she stops her studies and gives up on her dream of becoming a government employee so she can work to support her family. She works as a maid in a Hindu priest's house. When her father dies, she moves in at the priest's house under the pretext of being his sister. The local people oppose Fotema, who is Muslim, staying at a Hindu priest's house. [6]
