Laboni Sarkar is an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali cinema. She is the recipient of three BFJA Awards. [1] She began her acting career in a Bengali TV series by Jochon Dastidar. She made her Big screen debut in Aparna Sen's Sati (1989). [2]

<i>Shubhodrishti</i> 2005 Indian film

Shubhodrishti is a 2005 Bengali romance film directed by Prabhat Roy and Chief assistant director was Madhuchhanda Sengupta. The film was produced under the banner of Rajshri Productions & Shree Venkatesh Films. The film features popular Bengali actors Jeet and Koel Mallick in the lead roles. Jeet Gannguli composed the music for the film. It was the fifth consecutive film of Jeet and Koel Mallick together. This film attracted huge positive responses from the audiences around West Bengal. The film became a superhit at box office as it clearly portrayed Bengali culture and traditions and given a lucid image how Bengali weddings take place. The film was immensely popular during its release with chartbuster songs.

Mrs. Singha Roy is an Indian Bengali language family drama television show produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and directed by Partha Sen. The show stars Ishita Ganguly and Laboni Sarkar in lead roles. The show aired at 8:30pm from Monday to Friday on Sananda TV.

Falna is an Indian Bengali romance drama fantasy television series that premiered on 1 March 2021 on Bengali General Entertainment Channel Star Jalsha, and is also available on the digital platform Disney+ Hotstar. The show is produced by Raj Chakraborty and Shyam Agarwal under the banner of Raj Srijan Arts LLP. It stars Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury, Roshni Tanwi Bhattacharya and Hiya Dey in lead roles. The show went off-air on 13 March 2022, due to low TRPs.
