<i>Gaaner Oparey</i> Indian Bengali musical TV serial

Gaaner Oparey is an Indian Bengali television serial which aired on Star Jalsha from 28 June 2010 to 16 April 2011. This TV musical marked the beginning of a yearlong celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. The concept was a brainchild of the Indian director Rituparno Ghosh. The songs were all popular Rabindra sangeets. Prosenjit Chatterjee launched an audio CD of its tracks on Mahalaya on 12 October 2015. On account of Rabindranath Tagore's 157th birthday, Star Jalsha added Gaaner Oparey on Disney+ Hotstar on 9 May 2018. It was re-aired on Star Jalsha during the 2020 lockdown period, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kiranmala is an Indian Bengali language television series which aired on Star Jalsha from 4 August 2014 to 19 November 2016. It was produced by Surinder Films and starred Rooqma Ray, Farhan Imroze and Chandrayee Ghosh. It was based on traditional folktales as collected in Thakurmar Jhuli by Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder. The series was dubbed into Tamil and aired on Star Vijay. An Odisha dubbed version was aired on Tarang TV. It returned in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series re-aired a third time on Jalsha Movies on 13 May 2024.

<i>Bou Kotha Kao</i> Bengali television series

Bou Kotha Kao is a television serial that aired on Bengali GEC Star Jalsha. It was produced by Ravi Ojha Productions and was directed by Tathagata Mukherjee. It starred Riju Biswas and Manali Dey in the lead roles, and Ridhima Ghosh as the 2nd Female Lead and also in a negative role. It was one of the most popular TV serials of Bengali television as well as Star Jalsha and it was a blockbuster serial. It ended in January 2012. Later it was remade in Hindi as Gustakh Dil. It was re-aired on Star Jalsha during lockdown period, due to COVID-19. This Show is 3rd time repeat telecast on Star Jalsha on 9 May 2024.

Maa...Tomay Chara Ghum Ashena, also called Maa, is a Bengali television serial broadcast on Star Jalsha. It was produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. The show narrates the bond between mother and daughter. It is one of the longest-run Bengali television series and Star Jalsha's longest-run serial.

Saayoni Ghosh is an Indian Bengali film and television actress currently serving as a Member of Parliament representing Jadavpur parliamentary constituency. She is also a singer and a politician. Payel De, also known as Payel Dey, is a Bengali actress. She began her career in 2006 with Zee Bangla's Ekdin Pratidin daily soap and portrayed the character Chandrayee as a supporting role. She is known for her work in television soap opera serials Durga and Behula where she played the title character, both of these aired on Star Jalsha. She started her career while she was studying in college. Afterwards, she starred as Aalo Moitra in the TV serial Bodhu Kon Alo Laaglo Chokhe which aired on Star Jaisha. She has also played lead characters in Maa Durga, Tobu Mone Rekho, Ardhangini, Jaahanara, Durga Durgeshwari, Chuni Panna and currently Desher Maati.
