Sun Bangla is an Indian Bengali-language free-to-air general entertainment channel owned by Sun TV Network based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was launched on 2 February 2019 [1] and broadcasts Bengali entertainment programming. Sun Bangla is the first entry of Sun TV Network into the East Indian market. Its slogan is "Mone Prane Bengali", which means "Bengali In Heart and Soul." On 28 November 2023, Sun Bangla launched its own HD channel, Sun Bangla HD.

It was launched on 21 February 2005, as the first Bengali-language music-oriented channel in the world, after being split from Tara Bangla, which was launched on 28 April 2000. Tara Muzik was targeted to Bengali-speaking audiences in both India and Bangladesh. It is broadcast from Tara's headquarters in Salt Lake, Kolkata. It starred Idhika Paul and John Bhattacharya in the lead roles. It was premiered on 15 February 2021. The series was produced by Acropoliis Entertainment. It was about a farming girl Rimli. The show went off air on 26 September 2021, due to low television ratings.
