Anandalok Puraskar or Anandalok Awards ceremony is an award ceremony for Bengali film in India. The Anandalok, only film magazine in Bengali language, published from Ananda Publishers and Ananda Bazar Patrika presents this award (Puraskar). The magazine was started on 25 January 1975 and the awards ceremony was started in 1998.
Deepak Adhikari, known by his stage name Dev, is an Indian actor, producer, singer and screenwriter, known for his works in Bengali cinema and more recently, a politician. He is also a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing Ghatal since 2014, as a candidate from the All India Trinamool Congress party. He owns the production house Dev Entertainment Ventures.

Paran Jai Jaliya Re is a 2008 Indian Bengali-language romance film directed by Ravi Kinnagi. This film stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly. It is a remake of 2005 Hindi film Namastey London. The director of the original Vipul Shah filed a case against the producers of Paran Jai Jaliya Re and they gave a penalty of Rs. 75 lakh. In this movie, Dev and Subhashree Ganguly act together in the second time after the film, Challenge.

The film is a remake of the 2011 Telugu film Dookudu which itself is also inspired from German film '"Good Bye, Lenin! (2003). Produced by Shrikant Mohta under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films, it stars Dev and Puja Banerjee in lead roles, alongside Tapas Paul, Ashish Vidyarthi, Rajatava Dutta, Kharaj Mukherjee, Subhasish Mukherjee, Kaushik Chakraborty, Sumit Ganguly, Debesh Roy Chowdhury and Surajit Sen in pivotal roles, with Biswanath Basu and Labani Sarkar in guest appearance. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2009 film Challenge, but contains a very different storyline. It revolves around an undercover officer as well as IPS Abhiraj Roy, who is on a mission to bring down the dreaded don Guru Nayak. But all on a sudden tragically he transforms into an MLA to fulfill his father's wish, who was in coma after meeting an conspiring accident as he was an honest and celebrated politician amongst the masses.
