Fousseni Diawara (born 28 August 1980) is a professional football manager and former player who played as a right-back. He has been assistant coach of the Guinea national football team since December 2023. Born in France, he played for the Mali national team between 2001 and 2015.
Starting his career in Parisien club Red Star 93, Diawara moved to AS Saint-Étienne in 2000 and made his debut against Rennes in September.
In January 2008, Diawara signed a 2.5-year deal with Panionios F.C.
On 10 September 2009, he signed a one-year deal with FC Istres. He signed for AC Ajaccio on 16 June 2010. [1]
Diawara played international matches for the Mali national team.
Diawara began his career as Mali national team coordinator at the end of his professional career after 2014–15 season.
On December 12, 2023, he was named assistant coach of Guinea national team. He will support the coach Kaba Diawara.
Diawara holds both French and Malian nationalities. [2] He is the brother of footballers Samba and Abdoulaye. [3]
Mali
Pascal Feindouno is a Guinean former professional footballer who played as a winger. In his prime, he was widely recognised as one of the best footballers to come out of Guinea. He scored 30 goals in 85 appearances between 1998 and 2012 for the Guinea national team.
