Francine Baron is a Dominican politician,attorney,and the Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs from 2014 to 2019. [1] [2] She previously served as Attorney General of Dominica from 2007 to 15 October 2010 (becoming the first woman in the position) [3] [4] and High Commissioner for Dominica to the UK from 31 August 2012 to December 2014. [5] [6] She is the child of Dominica's first Chief Minister Frank Baron who served as Chief Minister from 1960 to 1961. Her grandfather,A. A. Baron served on the Legislative Council from 1925 into the 1930s. [7]
Valerie Ann Amos,Baroness Amos,is a British Labour Party politician and diplomat who served as the eighth UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator. Before her appointment to the UN,she served as British High Commissioner to Australia. She was created a life peer in 1997,serving as Leader of the House of Lords and Lord President of the Council from 2003 to 2007. Paul Yaw Boateng,Baron Boateng is a British Labour Party politician,who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Brent South from 1987 to 2005,becoming the UK's first Black Cabinet Minister in May 2002,when he was appointed as Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Following his departure from the House of Commons,he served as the British High Commissioner to South Africa from March 2005 to May 2009. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is a Namibian politician who is the Deputy Prime Minister of Namibia since March 2015. She has also been serving as Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation since December 2012. From March 2010 to December 2012,she was Minister of the Environment and Tourism. Nandi-Ndaitwah is a member of SWAPO,Namibia's ruling party,and a long-time member of the National Assembly of Namibia. In 2017,Nandi-Ndaitwah was elected vice-president of the Swapo Party at the party's 6th Congress. She is the first woman to serve in that position.
