Francis Omoto Masakhalia is a Kenyan politician. He was minister for Finance [1] in Kenya and the first member of parliament for the Butula Constituency. [2] He holds a PhD in Development Economics [3] and degrees from Delhi University (BA), University of Denver (MBA), and Harvard Kennedy School (MPA). [4]

Peter Anyang' Nyong'o is a Kenyan politician and author who is the Governor of Kisumu County. He is a former Secretary-General of Orange Democratic Movement. Dr. Machel Waikenda is a Kenyan politician and the former State House Director of Political Affairs. He was formerly the executive-committee member in charge of youth affairs, sports, and communications in the county government of Kiambu. Between April 2012 and August 2013, Waikenda was the communications director for The National Alliance, which through a merger with 13 other mainstream parties formed the Jubilee Party that brought the then sitting president Uhuru Kenyatta to his reelection in 2017.

He also served as the Leader of Minority in the National Assembly in the 11th Parliament of Kenya from 2013 to 2017. He passed on at The Nairobi Hospital after battling colon cancer for close to a decade.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Nimrod Mbai</span> Kenyan politician

Nimrod Mbithuka Mbai is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Kitui East Constituency. He was elected on a UDA ticket in the August 8th elections. He won after garnering a total of 14, 256 votes against 10, 899 votes garnered by NARC's Militonic Mwendwa Kitute. The then incumbent Member of Parliament, Major (Rtd) Mutua Muluvi was fourth with 5, 436 votes. He is an ex-police officer and served as security aide to the late Francis Nyenze and later to the current Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua. Governor Mutua appointed him to his government in 2013 after Mbai resigned from his police service. Mbai caused controversy for his rape remarks against Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu because of the governor's support for poll boycott called by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. He later apologised following public outcry and pressure from women's rights group FIDA Kenya
