Robinson Njeru Githae is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Party of National Unity and was elected to represent the Ndia Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the Kenyan parliamentary election,2002. [2] He has served as assistant minister in the ministries of justice,transport and local government before being appointed a minister in the ministries of Nairobi Metropolitan then Kenya's finance minister. He was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Kenya- US ambassador on 14/08/2014. He was later transferred to Vienna in May 2019 as Kenya’s ambassador to Austria where he is currently serving.
He has three well-known sisters:former Chief Nursing Officer Eunice Muringo Kiereini,the writer Micere Githae Mugo and Purity Gathoni Macharia,co-founder and co-owner of Royal Media Services. Their father was Solomon Githendui Githae (1904-2007). [3] In May 2019 he was appointed as Kenyan ambassador to Vienna,Austria. [4]
Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is a Kenyan politician who was the tenth Vice-President of Kenya from 2008 to 2013. Musyoka served in the government under the late President Daniel arap Moi as the Secretary of Kenya African National Union party (1980-1988),Assistant Minister for Works (1986-1988),Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (1988-1992),Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1993 until 1998,Minister of Education (1998-2001);and subsequently,under the late President Mwai Kibaki,he was Minister of Foreign Affairs again from 2003 to 2004,then Minister of the Environment from 2004 to 2005. He served in the cabinet of Chancellor Werner Faymann as foreign minister of Austria from 2008 to 2013 and as finance minister from 2013 to 2014;additionally,he held the office of vice-chancellor from 2011 to 2014. Spindelegger was also the leader of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) from 2011 to 2014. In August 2014 he unexpectedly resigned from all political positions. Kibingoti is a settlement in Kenya's Kirinyaga County in the former Central Province. The town is within Ndia Constituency,a constituency that was at one time represented by Robinson Njeru Githae in the National Assembly.
Local elections were held in Kirinyaga to elect a Governor and County Assembly on 4 March 2013. Under the new constitution,which was passed in a 2010 referendum,the 2013 general elections were the first in which Governors and members of the County Assemblies for the newly created counties were elected. The flagship outlets of Royal Media Services are Citizen TV and Radio Citizen. In 2012,Macharia was on the top-10 list in Forbes magazine of African millionaires to watch. Macharia was on the 2013 Africa Report of the 50 most influential Africans. He was honoured with the 2015 Eastern Africa Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award.
Eunice Muringo Kiereini is a retired nurse who was Kenya's Chief Nursing Officer from 1968 to 1986,with responsibility for overseeing and developing nursing in Kenya after independence. She has served in many different health organisations,at home and abroad,and was the first African president of the International Council of Nurses (ICN).
