Francistown Senior Secondary School is a government institution located in Francistown, the second largest city in Botswana, with a population of about 100,079 and 150,800 inhabitants for its agglomeration at the 2011 census.
Francistown Senior Secondary School was established in 1978 as a Community Junior Secondary School, in Francistown, Botswana [1] The School had about 15 to 20 staff and was headed by Mr. L.B Gwathe during that time. The number of students enrolled in the school rounded up to 480 and classes accommodated 160 each, from form 1 classes to form 3. The school was financially assisted by the World Bank group, through the Government of Botswana because the school is government property.
In 2015, the Botswana Examinations Council rated it as the most improved school in Botswana. [2]
In 1987, the school was converted into a Senior Secondary School. [1] The conversion allowed the school to have only two classes which offered pure sciences and arts. The number of students increased and the staff also grew from 20 to 60 employees.

Mochudi is one of the larger villages in Botswana with a population of 44,815 people in 2011. It is situated in the Bakgatla tribal region, in Kgatleng District, about 37 km (23 mi) northeast of Gaborone. The village lies several kilometres from the main Gaborone–Francistown road, and can be accessed through a short turn at Pilane. Mochudi was settled by the Tswana people in 1871. The main attraction in Mochudi is the Phuthadikobo Museum which is perched at the top of a hill and holds a rich history of Bakgatla tribe and Batswana in general.

Kweneng is one of the districts of Botswana and is the recent historical homeland of the Bakwena people, the first group in Botswana converted to Christianity by famed missionary David Livingstone. Mathangwane is a village in the Central District of Botswana administered under Tutume Sub-district Council. The village is located at the confluence of the Shashe and Vukwi rivers, 25 kilometres west of the City of Francistown along the A3 highway and almost entirely on the left bank of Shashe River. The population of the village was 5,075 in the 2011 national population and housing census. The village is characterised by many river valleys, mostly tributaries to Shashe River and used for identifying the village community wards (dikgotlana) boundaries.
Prostitution in Botswana is not illegal, but laws such as public disorder, vagrancy, loitering and state recognised religious provisions are used to prosecute prostitutes. Related activities such as soliciting and brothel keeping are illegal. Botswana has made proposals to make prostitution legal to prevent the spread of AIDS. However, there has been mass opposition to it by the Catholic Church. Prostitution is widespread and takes place on the street, bars, hotels, brothels and the cabs of long-distance trucks.

It started as Tsabong Junior Secondary School and it had form one to three. Previously, students from the area had to attend senior secondary school in Kang. 400 km away.
Sylvia Muzila is a Motswana politician and first female mayor of Francistown, Botswana. Politically affiliated to the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), she was elected to this position in 2014 and served up till 2019. Muzila was also among the first cohort of women to be recruited in the then Botswana Police Force.
