Francis Turnbull Glasgow (17 August 1880 – 20 February 1939) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A loose forward, Glasgow represented Wellington, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay and Southland at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1905 to 1908 and played in the famous " Match of the Century " against Wales. He played 35 matches for the All Blacks including six internationals.^[2] His work as a Bank Officer included being Manager at Ōhura.

Frank's grandfather was Rev Adam D.Glasgow, from Co Antrim. He served as an Irish Presbyterian missionary to India from 1842 until 1855 (retired through ill health) and then in Dunedin New Zealand from November 1861 to March 1863.

Conrad Gerard Smith is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player, who played predominantly at centre. He captained the Hurricanes in Super Rugby, and played for New Zealand from 2004 until 2015. He was a key member of New Zealand's 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cup winning teams. Following the 2015 World Cup he retired from international rugby and took up a contract with Pau in France, before retiring in 2018.

The 1907–1908 New Zealand rugby tour of Australia and Great Britain was made by a group of New Zealand rugby footballers who played matches in Australia, Ceylon, England and Wales between 1907 and 1908. Most of the matches were played under the rules of the Northern Union, a sport that is today known as rugby league. As such, the team were the immediate predecessors of the New Zealand national rugby league team. The tour had a large role in establishing rugby league in both Australia and New Zealand, and also gave birth to international rugby league. The 1908 New Zealand rugby league season was the first season that rugby league had been played in New Zealand. Auckland played Wellington in a two match series that was won by Auckland 1-0. Otago and Southland also participated in a two match series which was drawn 1-all. Auckland and Taranaki then drew a two match series.

Following a successful spell playing with Glasgow Academicals in Scotland, he was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1986 and 1993, playing 10 matches, including a single test match appearance as a substitute. He is the father of Rocco Berry, a rugby league player for the New Zealand Warriors.
