Managerial career
The NPA Anchors manager started his coaching sojourn in the second division with West Point-based La-Modell International in 1985. Three years later, under Jerico, the club reached the first division. Coach Nagbe led his native Sinoe County to three County Meet tournaments. Under him, Sinoe finished as champions in 1986, third place in 1987 and semi finalist in 2004. Jerico joined IE as Deputy Coach from 1989 to 1992. He then coached Junior Professionals for five seasons (1993–1998). Jerico promoted Junior Pros to the first division and went on to finished as runners-up in his first season before lifting the league title in 1997. He took Jr. Pros to the African Cup Winners, at which time the club ousted ASFAG of Guinea (but could not continue due to the April 6, 1996 fighting in Monrovia). Jerico led Jr. Pros to the African Champions League, and eliminated RCB of Burkina Faso, but were eliminated by eventual grand finalist Obuasi Goldfields a year later. During the 1997–1998 season, Adolph Lawrence hired him at a time Saint Anthony was in search of first division qualification. Jerico did not fail in winning all the seven matches he had. In his debut year with Saint Anthony in division one, Jerico led the club to second place in both league and knockout championships. Jerico had two stints with the Lone Star as Deputy Coach. His first stint ran from 1996 to 1998. On the second occasion, Lone Star reached the 2002 Nations Cup finals in Mali and nearly qualified for the World Cup the same year. A year earlier, Jerico and the Lone Star won the Goodwill Tournament in Côte d'Ivoire. The LFA awarded Jerico five times as Coach of the Year in 1985, 1987, 1996, 2000 and 2004. In 1985, the NPA Anchors coach attended the FIFA Youth Training Program conducted by Karl Heinz Moroski of Germany and Mohammed El Wash of Egypt (CAF). He also participated in the FIFA Futuro II course conducted by Philip Rouon in 1999. Currently, No Bad Day football club, a third division club in Liberia is seeking support from Jericho for partnership.
The Liberia national football team, nicknamed the Lone Stars, represents Liberia in men's international football and is controlled by the Liberia Football Association. Although the nation produced the 1995 FIFA World Player of the Year, George Weah, its football team has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup and has qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations just twice—in 1996 and 2002. It is a member of both FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Liberian First Division, formerly known as Liberian Premier League, is the highest division of football in Liberia. The first division league began in 1956 and have only once been won by a club outside Monrovia. It has been dominated by Mighty Barrolle FC and Invincible Eleven FC. The league is organized by the Liberia Football Association. In 2010, the league became known as the Orange Premier League for sponsorship reasons and it is now called LFA-Orange First Division League.
The 1986 Memorial Cup occurred May 10–17 at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. It was the 68th annual Memorial Cup competition and determined the major junior ice hockey champion of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). Hosting rights were originally awarded to the Queen's Park Arena and the New Westminster Bruins, but staging the tournament alongside Expo '86 in Vancouver proved logistically impossible and so the tournament was moved to Portland for the second time in three years. Participating teams were the host team Portland Winter Hawks, as well as the winners of the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League which were the Kamloops Blazers, Guelph Platers and Hull Olympiques. The Platers won their first Memorial Cup, and the city's second Memorial Cup, defeating Hull in the final game.
The Liberian Football Association Cup, commonly known as the LFA Cup and currently known as the PetroTrade Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is an annual knockout cup competition in Liberian football. The LFA Cup is run by and named after the Liberia Football Association and usually refers to the Liberian men's tournament, although a LFA Women's Cup is also held.
Union of Invincible Eleven & Majestic Sports Association Inc., also known as Invincible Eleven (I.E.), is a Liberian football club based in Monrovia. They are Liberia's oldest club. Their home stadium is the Antonette Tubman Stadium. I.E. is one of Liberia's most popular and historic clubs, along with Mighty Barolle. George Weah, Liberia's most famous footballer and current president, scored 24 goals in 23 games during a spell at I.E. in the 1986/87 season.

It is contested by the winners of the National Premier League and the Liberian Cup in the previous season, as a curtain raiser to the new season. It is played at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
