The Fred George Basin Greenway is a Greenway park project in northwestern Tallahassee, Florida, covering 175 acres (71 ha), including Fred George Sink [1] that runs alongside Fred George Road near Capital Circle.

A greenway is "a strip of undeveloped land near an urban area, set aside for recreational use or environmental protection". However, the term can in fact include "a scenic road" and though many are in urban areas, there are some rural greenways, as for example the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway, a hiking trail in southern New Hampshire.

Capital Circle is a circular road surrounding Capital Hill in the centre of Canberra, Australia's capital city. It is one of three concentric roads on the hill, with State Circle the outermost and Parliament Drive the innermost. There are no buildings on Capital Circle. Parliament Drive surrounds New Parliament House.

Under development as a public park, it is planned to have hiking trails and other low-impact recreation opportunities.

On 28 December 2015, the Tallahassee Democrat reported that the park would open on 17 February 2016. [2]

The trail ends near the confluence of the St. Marks and Wakulla Rivers. The portion of the trail south of US 98 is designated as a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail. A paved extension of the trail extends north for approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) into the City of Tallahassee.
