Fred K. Marchman Technical College (MTEC), also called Marchman Technical College, is a vocational school in New Port Richey, Florida. It is a part of the Pasco County School District.
The school opened in the fall of 1984, originally with the name Fred K. Marchman Vocational Center. [1] The schools name was changed in 1990, bringing it its current name. [2]
In July of 2022, Early Learning Coalition of Pasco & Hernando received a federal grant. The grant allowed them to offer free tuition to anyone pursuing an early childhood education certification at MTEC. [3]
In December 2024, MTEC changed its name to Pasco Technical College-Marchman Campus. Relatives of F. K. Marchman, the man the school is named after, did not like the change, and argued to restore the name. [4]
The school has 16 Career Certificate Programs for adults. [5] High School students can apply for duel enrollment and have access to 8 of them. [6]
