Freddy Daruwala (born 12 May 1984) [2] is an Indian model and actor based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, predominantly known for his roles as the Sleeper Cell's Head opposite Akshay Kumar in the Bollywood film Holiday. [3] [4] He has starred in over 12 films across various languages, including Telugu, Gujarati and Hindi. He has been titled as the Most Desirable Man by Ahmedabad Times in 2018 [5] and 2020. [6] [5] He last appeared in ZEE5's action crime thriller series Poison in 2019 that starred Arbaaz Khan and Riya Sen. [7] He has been signed to play a lead in The Incomplete Man. [8]

Born into a middle-class family in Surat, Gujarat, [3] Freddy is half Parsi and half Gujarati. [9]

He holds a Master of Business Administration.

He is married to Crystal Variava, a doctor [2] and they have 2 sons. [10]

Laxmii is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language horror comedy film written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, marking his directorial debut in the Hindi film industry. A remake of his own Tamil film Kanchana (2011), it stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, while Ayesha Raza Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar and Sharad Kelkar play pivotal roles. The film revolves around a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender person. Kumar, also produced the film under his Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios, along with Tusshar Kapoor's newly launched production company, Tusshar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment. Lawrence co-wrote the script along with Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, Tasha Bhambra, with Samji adapting the screenplay and dialogues to the Hindi version. The film was announced in January 2019, whilst the principal photography began in April 2019 and ended in March 2020.

Poison is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language action crime thriller web series that is streaming on ZEE5. The 11-episode web series is written by Shiraz Ahmed and directed by Jatin Wagle. It stars Arbaaz Khan, Riya Sen, Freddy Daruwala and Tanuj Virwani. The series is Arbaaz Khan's digital debut.

Bachchhan Paandey is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez. Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Mishra and Abhimanyu Singh play supporting roles. It is an official remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda which itself was inspired by the 2006 South Korean film A Dirty Carnival. The film was released theatrically on 18 March 2022 and ended up being a disaster at the box office.
