Freddy Sahin-Scholl (born 21 December 1953 in Heilbronn as Freddy Scholl) is a German singer and composer.
Freddy Sahin-Scholl is the son of a Turkish German mother and an African-American soldier. He was raised by a foster mother in Wüstenrot who recognized his musical talent. He worked as an anesthesia assistant. Sahin-Scholl lives and works in Karlsruhe.
At the age of 40, he discovered that, despite his lack of vocal training, he was able to quickly change his voice from baritone to soprano.
On 19 December 2010, he won season 4 of Das Supertalent and 100,000€. [1] He was in the running to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. [2]

The German participating broadcaster on behalf of ARD, Nord- und Westdeutscher Rundfunkverband (NWRV), organised a national final to determine their two entries for the contest. Quinn's Irish family name comes from his Irish-born salesman father, Johann Quinn. His mother, Edith Henriette Nidl, was an Austrian journalist. He is often associated with the Schlager scene.
Das Supertalent is a German talent show, part of the internationally successful Got Talent franchise, presented by Victoria Swarovski and Knossi. Just like in all other versions of the franchise, auditions take place and the judges review their talent and then later the home audience votes in an election to deem who wins. The prize money is €50,000.
The fourth season of the German talent show Das Supertalent premiered on September 24, 2010. Season 4 had approximately 40,700 applicants, making it the highest amount of applicants in the show's history. The auditions began filming on May 16, 2010 in Frankfurt am Main. Other audition locations were Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Munich, Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig, Berlin, Bochum and finally Cologne on June 20, 2010.
