Frederik Wilmann (born 17 July 1985 in Viggja) is a Norwegian former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2005 and 2017. He is the son of Norwegian cyclist Jostein Wilmann.
In 2007, Wilmann finished third in the Norwegian National Road Race Championships, behind Alexander Kristoff and Thor Hushovd. [2] [3] But he became the under-23 road race champion, after beating Stian Sommerseth, Edvald Boasson Hagen and Kristoff. [4]
After riding several years with the Norwegian outfit, Joker–Bianchi, Wilmann signed a two-year contract with the Dutch team Skil–Shimano in 2010. He broke off the contract in late 2010 due to dissatisfaction, and then returning to his former team, Joker–Merida. After only one year "back home", he signed for the Danish team Christina Watches–Onfone in late 2011, riding together with experienced riders like Michael Rasmussen and Stefan Schumacher. In 2014 and 2015, Wilmann rode for Team Ringeriks–Kraft.
Thor Hushovd is a Norwegian former professional road bicycle racer. He is known for sprinting and time trialing; Hushovd is a three-time Norwegian national road race champion, and was the winner of the 2010 World Road Race Championships. He was the first Norwegian to lead the Tour de France, and first Scandinavian to win the road race in cycling world road championship. He is also the Scandinavian with the most stage wins in Grand Tours. He is widely considered the greatest Norwegian cyclist of all time. He retired in September 2014.
Kurt Asle Arvesen is a Norwegian former professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 1998 and 2011. Arvesen is from Eresfjord, Nesset. He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships five times, as well as stages in each of the three Grand Tours.
Allan Howard Davis is an Australian former professional road racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProTour team Orica–GreenEDGE. Born in Ipswich, Queensland, Davis resides in Bundaberg, Queensland and in Spain. Known for his sprinting ability, he started competitive cycling at the age of 10, and turned professional in 2002. He is also the brother of fellow cyclist, Scott Davis, and was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.
Martin Pedersen is a Danish professional road bicycle racer for UCI Continental Team Christina Watches–Dana. He rode with Team PH in 2004, and after a great 2005 season with many wins for the small, talent producing Team GLS, he signed his first professional contract with Team CSC for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Filippo "Pippo" Pozzato is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2000 and 2018 for the Mapei–Quick-Step, Fassa Bortolo, Quick-Step–Innergetic, Liquigas, Team Katusha, Lampre–Merida, and two spells with the Farnese Vini–Selle Italia/Wilier Triestina–Selle Italia teams.
Jostein Wilmann is a Norwegian former professional road racing cyclist. His best performance came in the Tour de France of 1980, where he finished 14th overall. This is still the best result any Norwegian cyclist has achieved in the Tour de France general classification. He is also the only Norwegian cyclist to win the Tour de Romandie and the Setmana Catalana de Ciclisme, taking both victories in 1982. He is the father of racing cyclist Frederik Wilmann.
Julian Dean is a former professional road racing cyclist from New Zealand who competed as a professional between 1999 and 2013. He last rode for UCI World Tour team Orica–GreenEDGE, where he now works as an assistant sporting director and mentor. His main achievements include winning the 2007 and 2008 New Zealand National Road Race Championships, finishing 9th in the 2005 World Road Championships in Madrid, and 10th place in the 2002 World Road Championships in Zolder. At the peak of his career he was considered the best lead out rider in the world, and was highly regarded by his teammate and friend Thor Hushovd.
Edvald Boasson Hagen is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Team TotalEnergies. He was ranked as no. 3 in the world by UCI as of 31 August 2009, when he was 22 years old. He is known as an all-rounder, having won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2012, 2015 and 2016. He is also a ten-time winner of the Norwegian National Time Trial Championships.
Niki Terpstra is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Team TotalEnergies. He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Mike Terpstra. He is the third Dutch cyclist to have won both of the cobbled Monument spring classics, Paris–Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders, after Jan Raas and Hennie Kuiper.
Joker Fuel of Norway is a UCI Continental cycling team based in Norway. The team is managed by Birger Hungerholdt with assistance from directeur sportifs Gino van Oudehove and Anders Linnestad. The team has had well known riders, including Alexander Kristoff who rode for the team from 2007–2009, and Edvald Boasson Hagen who joined the team in 2006 Maxbo–Bianchi and in his first season in the continental circuits he took eight wins including three stages of the Tour de l'Avenir.
Ole Gabriel Rasch is a Norwegian former road bicycle racer, who currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI WorldTeam Ineos Grenadiers.
Michael Mørkøv Christensen is a Danish professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Deceuninck–Quick-Step. He is the brother of racing cyclists Jacob and Jesper Mørkøv.
Lars Petter Nordhaug is a Norwegian former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally between 2005 and 2017 for the Joker–Bianchi, Belkin Pro Cycling, Team Sky and Aqua Blue Sport teams.
Alexander Kristoff is a Norwegian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates. He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2007 and 2011. His biggest victories have been the 2014 Milan–San Remo and the 2015 Tour of Flanders among many other successes.
Vegard Stake Laengen is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates.
Marta Tagliaferro is an Italian former track and road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2020 for the Gauss RDZ Ormu–Colnago, Top Girls Fassa Bortolo–Ghezzi, Alé–Cipollini, Cylance Pro Cycling and Hitec Products–Birk Sport teams. As a junior rider Tagliaferro won three Italian national titles in 2007: two on the track and one on the road. She became under-23 European champion in the points race at the 2009 European Track Championships.
Sven Erik Bystrøm is a Norwegian road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates. He was 2014 Under-23 World Road Race Champion.
Sondre Holst Enger is a Norwegian former professional cyclist, who rode professionally between 2012 and 2020 for five different teams. He was named in the start list for the 2016 Tour de France. Upon retiring, Holst Enger announced his intention to become a carpenter.
Kristoffer Skjerping is a Norwegian former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2012 and 2019 for the Cannondale–Drapac, Joker Icopal and Uno-X Norwegian Development Team teams.
Andreas Vangstad is a Norwegian former professional cyclist, who rode professionally between 2014 and 2019 for the Team Sparebanken Sør and Joker Fuel of Norway teams. He was named in the startlist for the 2015 UCI World Time Trial Championships.
