Friedel de Wet (born 26 June 1980 in Durban,Natal Province,South Africa) is a former South African first-class cricketer.
de Wet was educated at Grenswag High School in Rustenburg and went to the University of Technology in Pretoria for future education. He represented the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCBSA) National Academy,Titans,Lions,North West and the Northerns as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He took 48 wickets at 22.00 for the Lions in 2006–07.
de Wet toured India with the South Africa 'A' party in 2007–08 and signed for Middlesex as a Kolpak registration for the 2008 season. On 5 January 2011 it was announced that he would play for Hampshire as a Kolpak registration for the 2011 season. [1] He also had a spell in the Lancashire Cricket League with Chorley Cricket Club in 2008 taking 56 wickets at an average of just over 13. In 2012,de Wet announced an immediate retirement to his cricketing career due to a persistent back injury which troubled him throughout his career.
In December 2009,he received "an unexpected call-up" [2] to South Africa's Test squad for the series against England. When Dale Steyn was injured just before the first Test,de Wet was given his debut. He made 20 runs in his first Test innings and took the wicket of Alastair Cook. [3] in England's first innings. He took four further wickets in the second innings,three of them coming with the second new ball in the final hour of the game as South Africa almost engineered a victory,England eventually holding on to draw with nine wickets down.
Malcolm Denzil Marshall was a Barbadian cricketer. Primarily a fast bowler,Marshall is widely regarded as one of the greatest and one of the most accomplished fast bowlers of the modern era in Test cricket. He is often acknowledged as the greatest West Indian fast bowler of all time,and certainly one of the most complete fast bowlers the cricketing world ever saw. His Test bowling average of 20.94 is the best of anyone who has taken 200 or more wickets. He achieved his bowling success despite being,by the standards of other fast bowlers of his time,a short man –he stood at 180 cm,while most of the great quicks have been well above 183 cm and many great West Indian fast bowlers,such as Joel Garner,Curtly Ambrose,and Courtney Walsh,were 197 cm or above. He generated fearsome pace from his bowling action,with a dangerous bouncer. He also statistically went on to become the most successful Test match bowler of the 1980s with 235 wickets with an average of 18.47 within a time period of just five years. Marshall was a part of the West Indies team that won the 1979 Cricket World Cup as well as the team which reached the 1983 Cricket World Cup Final,but lost to India by 43 runs.
Neil Douglas McKenzie is a South African former cricketer,who played all three forms of the game. He was a right-handed opening batsman who played for South Africa,making his first appearance in 2000. He is currently the high performance batting coach of South Africa. He played for the Highveld Lions in South African domestic cricket and has also played county cricket for Somerset,Durham and Hampshire.
Herath Mudiyanselage Rangana Keerthi Bandara Herath,known as Rangana Herath,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer,who played all forms of cricket game and a former Test cricket captain for Sri Lanka. Herath is the most successful left arm bowler in Test cricket history. He worked as spin bowling consultant with the Bangladesh cricket team. Herath was a member of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
James Michael Anderson is an English cricketer who played for England. He is currently serving as the fast bowling mentor of the England cricket team. Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the sport,he holds the record for the most wickets taken by a fast bowler in Test cricket. Anderson was a member of the England team that won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2010. In February 2023,he became the oldest player to top the ICC men's Test bowling rankings. and is one of the few fast bowlers to play at Test match level into his forties.

Jerome Everton Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who has played as a fast bowler for the West Indies. Taylor eventually picked up 100 wickets for the Windies in both tests and odis. During 2017 he reversed an initial decision to retire from international cricket. Taylor has also featured for Jamaica,English sides Somerset,Leicestershire and Sussex,CPL teams St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tallawahs and IPL sides Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians in his cricketing career. Taylor was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup. He is the only bowler to have ever taken a hat-trick in a Champions Trophy match,which he did in the 2006 tournament against Australia,and that was the first hat-trick taken by a West Indian bowler in the ODI format.
Sajid Iqbal Mahmood is a former English cricketer,who played all formats of the game. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who played international cricket for England and county cricket for Lancashire and Essex.
Zander de Bruyn is a former South African cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He played three Test matches for South Africa,and played domestic cricket for the Highveld Lions. He was a batting all-rounder whose elegance at the crease drew comparisons with former South African captain Hansie Cronje. His medium-pace bowling was able to take the pressure off the front-line bowlers,with his ability to restrict the run-rate and take partnership-breaking wickets.
Graham Onions is an English former cricketer. He played for Durham,Lancashire and England as a right arm fast-medium bowler and a right-hand tail-end batsman. After a successful start to the 2009 cricket season,Onions was selected to face the West Indies in Test cricket,and following success in the series,was retained for the 2009 Ashes series. In April 2010,Wisden Cricketers' Almanack named him as one of its five cricketers of the year for 2009. A back injury in March 2010 prevented Onions from playing cricket until 2011. He returned to competitive cricket that season,taking 50 wickets in the County Championship,and towards the end of the year was called up to England's Test squad. However,in September 2020,Onions announced his retirement from cricket after his back injury returned.
Adil Usman Rashid is an English cricketer who plays for England in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket,and previously played for the Test team. In domestic cricket,he represents Yorkshire,and has played in multiple Twenty20 leagues,he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs.2 Crore,in the 2023 Indian Premier League auction. He is regarded as one of the best English spinners of all-time.

McClaren signed a contract with English County side Lancashire for the 2017 season. In January 2019,McLaren announced his retirement from first-class cricket.
