Friendship Christian School (FCS) is a private, Baptist, coeducational, primary and secondary day school located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Also known as simply Friendship, the school seeks to educate students in a traditional Christian environment.
Mission:
Friendship Christian School desires to assist and support parents in building a foundation that points students toward their need of a personal savior in Jesus Christ, teaches them to view everything through the lens of a biblical worldview, and develops their God-given potential to build a life of service to the Lord.
Vision:
At Friendship Christian School, our vision is to be a Christ-centered academic community where students are equipped with a strong foundation in truth, wisdom, and grace. We strive to cultivate scholarly excellence grounded in a biblical worldview, preparing students to think critically, live faithfully, and serve compassionately in a complex and changing world.
History:
Friendship Christian School was founded in 1970 as a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The first graduating class was in 1980, and since then FCS has graduated over 1,000 students.
FCS has been fully accredited by the North Carolina Christian School Association (NCCSA), Cognia, and the Middle States Association (MSA); their teachers are certified through ACSI.
Qualified, compassionate teachers provide classroom instruction in a distinctly Christian environment in four academic divisions:
