Fulton Beer is a microbrewery based in the North Loop area of Minneapolis in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The company was founded in 2009 by Ryan Petz, Jim Diley, Brian Hoffman and Peter Grande, who had been homebrewing for several years out of a garage in the Fulton neighborhood of Minneapolis. History

Fulton's signature beer, Sweet Child of Vine IPA, was initially contract brewed at the Sand Creek Brewing Company in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. However, an important distinction in the contract with Sand Creek enabled Fulton to brew on Sand Creek equipment so Fulton could assert that they brewed Fulton beer. In September 2010 the company signed a lease for a former sewing factory located near Downtown Minneapolis to build their own production building. Their brewery formally opened in November 2011 offering tours and growlers. [3] In March 2012 Fulton opened a taproom at their brewery, making them the first brewery in Minneapolis to do so under a revised law. [4]

In September 2013, Fulton announced plans to lease a new 51,000 square foot industrial space in Northeast Minneapolis to use as a production space. [5] Brewing began at their new facility in August 2014 with most of their product brewed and packaged at the new facility. The company had the intention to surpass 25,000 barrels by 2015. [6] [7]

The Surly Brewing Company is an American craft brewery with facilities in Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, and is noted for primarily canning beers, rather than bottling. Initially available only in and around the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, the company expanded distribution to include all of Minnesota and several nearby states. During the early 2010s, Surly experienced rapid growth, with production of 21,000 barrels in 2012, 28,000 barrels in 2013, and 47,757 barrels in 2015. Surly's brewing system in Brooklyn Center is a 30 beer barrel (BBL) Sprinkman, one of four identical systems produced by Sprinkman of Wisconsin. The Minneapolis location has a 100 barrel system. Despite sharing a similar name and being headquartered in the U.S. state of Minnesota, the brewing company and Surly Bikes are separate enterprises. An agreement between the two companies allows the bicycle manufacturer to display the single word "Surly" on its products.

The company started in 1989 as a wholesale-only kegged beer seller under the name Lind Brewing, after company founder, Roger Lind. Drake's operates out of the old Caterpillar Inc. production facility located behind a Walmart. In 2008, Drake's was sold to the owners of Triple Rock Brewery and Alehouse, a brewpub in Berkeley, California.

Rhinegeist Brewery is a craft brewery and craft cidery based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company also sells their ciders under the name Cidergeist, using an alternative apple-shaped skull logo. The brewery's 25,000 square feet (2,300 m2) taproom and production facility is located in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, and occupies the former, pre-Prohibition bottling plant of Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. Rhinegeist operates an additional shipping, storage and innovation brewing facility in Cincinnati's Camp Washington neighborhood.

Barrel Theory Beer Company is a microbrewery located in the Lowertown neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was founded by Brett Splinter, Timmy Johnson and Todd Tibesar. Splinter and Johnson had previously worked for Surly Brewing Company as the director of IT and as a brewer, respectively. The company's name is a reference to Liebig’s Law of the Minimum.

Blackrocks Brewery

Blackrocks Brewery is a craft brewery in Marquette, Michigan. Established at the end of 2010, it has become one of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan's largest breweries with sales that extend into Wisconsin and Michigan's Lower Peninsula.
