Fumina Shibayama (born 13 April 2000) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Asahi Intecc Loveledge Nagoya in the Nadeshiko League Division 1.
While playing for her secondary school, Shibayama was already considered a local football talent in Aichi. [1] During her high school years, she mainly played as one of the two holding midfielders in a 3-5-2 formation. [2] In 2018, she led the Tokiwagi Gakuen High School LSC to the championship of the All Japan High School Women's Soccer Tournament. [3] In 2019, her side reached the final of the tournament. [4]
In 2014, she was selected as into the U14 Japan national football team and participated in the AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship as a defender. [5] In 2015, she was selected into the U15 Japan national football team. [6] In 2018, she was selected into the U18 Japan national football team. [7]
In 2019, Shibayama joined the Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies after graduating from high school. She played as a left-footed midfielder and is the youngest member of the team. [8] She was highly regarded for her crosses by the head coach. [9] In 2021, Shibayama was instrumental in Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies' victory in the Empress's Cup. [10]
In June 2022, Shibayama transferred to Omiya Ardija Ventus. [11] Her contract expired in May 2024. [12]
In June 2024, Shibayama transferred to Asahi Intecc Loveledge Nagoya. [13]
