Onwuka Ugochukwu Richard (born 26 July 2000), popularly known by his stage name Funnybros, is a Nigerian comedian, musician and content creator. [1] [2]
Funnybros was born in Aba City, Abia State. [3] He is from Amachi Nsulu in Isiala-Ngwa North, in the same state. [4] He was bereaved of his mother at a tender age. He is studying Computer Engineering at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture. [5]
In an interview with The Sun, he hinted that he discovered his passion for acting through his involvement in his church's drama group. He also realized his knack for comedic performances and creating skits based on events around him. [1] He iterated that he suffered lots of criticism when he entered the industry. [4] He entered into the industry in 2019. [6] He has collaborated with fellow content creators like Mr Funny, OGB Recent, etc. [7] [8] He cited Tunde Ednut as helping him reach more audience, [9] - and he bought one of six cows used to mark the Ednut’s 37th birthday as a show of appreciation. Funnybros was nominated in the Best Male Skit Maker category of the Legit.ng Awards 2022. [12] [13] He was featured by The Netng as one of the Top 10 Skit Makers To Look Out For In 2023. [14]
He bought a Mercedes-Benz SUV in 2022 through skit making. [20] [21]
