Fur (stylised as FUR) are an English indie rock band based in Brighton, England. The band was formed by lead singer and guitarist Will Murray, former guitarist Harry Saunders, bassist Will Tavener, and drummer Flynn Whelan. [1] The members met when they attended BIMM Institute in 2015. [2] [3] Saunders left the band in 2019. He was then replaced by guitarist and keyboard player Josh Buchanan, who shared the writing duties with Murray until his departure in 2023. [4] They are currently signed to Boy Pablo's independent label, 777 MUSIC. [5]

The band is known for their unique mixture of a 1950s and 1960s-inspired style with a current modern sound. [1] [6] Their 2017 hit single "If You Know that I'm Lonely" has garnered 36 million views on YouTube as of June 2023, gaining significant portions mostly from Southeast Asia and South America, especially Indonesia, Peru, and Brazil. [7] In November 2021, they released their debut album and their first ever release under 777 MUSIC, When You Walk Away. The album was met with positive reviews, highlighting on the band's craftsmanship in fusing contemporary and traditional rock as well as touching relevant subject to their listeners which the band described as "the individual's post-coming-of-age era." [8] [9] [10]

In June 2023, the band announced an "extended hiatus" following the last shows and music for the foreseeable future. [11]

"Aesthetics of Hate" is a song by American heavy metal band Machine Head from their sixth studio album, The Blackening. Written by vocalist and guitarist Robb Flynn, the song is a retaliation to an article written by William Grim. Grim wrote that late guitarist Dimebag Darrell was "an ignorant, barbaric, untalented possessor of a guitar", among other comments, which angered Flynn deeply enough to write the song. "Aesthetics of Hate" was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 50th Grammy Awards.

L'objectif are an English rock band from Leeds. Formed in 2017 by vocalist and guitarist Saul Kane and drummer Louis Bullock, the band performed as a duo up until 2020, when they recruited guitarist Dan Richardson and bassist Ezra Glennon. Their debut EP Have It Your Way was released on 20 July 2021, through Chess Club Records and Mirror Music Group. The EP's lead single "Drive in Mind" peaked at number one on Free40's Dutch independent music chart.
