Maria Magdalena Philipsson, known by her stage name Lena Philipsson, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and media personality. She represented Sweden in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing fifth.

The Bear Quartet Swedish indie rock band

The Bear Quartet was a cult indie rock band from Luleå in northern Sweden. They were formed in the summer of 1989 with the original roster of Mattias Alkberg on guitar and vocals, Jari Haapalainen and Johan Forsling on guitar, Peter Nuottaniemi on bass, and Magnus Olsson on drums. However, the band's lineup changed significantly before eventually settling on Mattias Alkberg on vocals and guitar, Jari Haapalainen on guitar, Peter Nuottaniemi on bass, Jejo Perkovic on drums, and Calle Olsson on keyboards. Their name is a reference to the novel Gentlemen by Klas Östergren. Although they were formed in 1989, they didn't garner the attention of a record label until 1992. They made records at a steady rate from 1992, with their debut album, Penny Century, to 2010 with their final album Monty Python. Their albums were often received favorably, but they never resulted in large sales, usually only selling between 1,000 and 10,000 units per disc. The band is very obscure across the world, although they are much better known in Sweden.

Orup Musical artist

Hans Thomas Eriksson, known by his stage name Orup, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and musician who enjoyed major success in his native country and Scandinavia in the late 1980s and early 1990s with songs like "Jag blir hellre jagad av vargar", "Regn hos mig", "M.B.", "Då står pojkarna på rad", "Magaluf", and "Stockholm". Orup has also written several songs for other performers. He wrote the winning song of Melodifestivalen 2004, "Det gör ont" performed by Lena Philipsson. He was one of the judges on X Factor in 2012. Orup also took part in season 5 of the Swedish TV-show Så mycket bättre, broadcast on TV4.

Arvingarna

Arvingarna is a Swedish dansband formed in Gothenburg in 1989. The group consists of Casper Janebrink, Lars Larsson, Kim Carlsson and Tommy Carlsson. At Melodifestivalen 1993, they performed the song '"Eloise", which won, allowing Arvingarna to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet Co.Cork in May that year, where the song finished 7th.

It was released in September 1977, as his third studio album. The song "Jag skiter" became a smash hit. The song "Balladen om 70-talets största rockband" is about a Mott the Hoople concert Magnus Uggla attended in 1971. The song "Varning på stan" became Uggla's first hit single and was later recorded in English with the name "Hit the Girls on the Run". Uggla has stated that he was inspired by Mott the Hoople's song "All the Way from Memphis" when he wrote "Varning på stan". "Jazzgossen" is a Karl Gerhard cover. The album was produced by the artist himself and his longtime partner Anders Henriksson.

Radioaktiva räker

Radioaktiva räker was a Swedish trallpunk band, formed in Hofors in 1991. The first line up was Johan Anttila, Daniel Torro, Jonas Lund and Mattias Johansson. In the summer of 1992 they were signed to the record label Beat Butchers. During the 1990s Radiaktive räker was one of the biggest punk bands in Sweden. Daniel Torro was later replaced by Jimmy Petterson. Radioaktiva räker split up 2003 after releasing an album called Finito and playing a summer tour.

Peter Månsson is a Swedish music producer and songwriter, who often writes his name as Peter Mansson when working with non-Swedish artists. He is based in MIR Studios, Stockholm, Sweden.

Sannex

Sannex is a dansband from Sweden. The band was formed as a school project in 1977. In the mid-1980s, it was a six-man band, which invested in a professional career. In 1987, Sannex became the backing band for Ann-Louise Hanson, and in November 1987 became a full-time dance band, after working with Ann-Louise for five weeks at Restaurant Cabaret in Stockholm. They participated in Dansbandskampen in 2009.
