G. Srinivasan was an Indian actor, writer, director who predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. He was a supporting and villain actor during the 1970s and 1980s. He has acted over 200 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam. He made his debut as lead villain in Bharathiraja's Puthiya Vaarpugal (1979). His wife Choreographer Puliyur Saroja was a popular choreographer during 70's and 80's, 90s. They have their own educational institutions. [1]

Film career

He had written eight films and directed three films. He started as an assistant to Adurthi Subba Rao and have worked as an associate to various other directors such as Dada Mirasi and K. Viswanath. He has played villain roles and character roles in over a hundred films, including the Ranuva Veeran in Tamil and the Penmani Aval Kanmani. He has also acted in Malayalam and Telugu. [2]

Family

He married choreographer Puliyar Saroja. Their only son died in a road accident a few years ago.

Arrest

Saroja and Srinivasan run a school called Sathya Matriculation School in Ramamavaram area. Swadhirajan, a 5-year-old boy, collapsed and died in a waste water tank at the school. The police registered the case and investigated. Subsequently, the school founder, actor Srinivasan, was arrested by the police for allegedly negligently shutting down the waste water tank. [3]

<i>Kuselan</i> 2008 Indian film

Kuselan is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language dramedy film directed by P. Vasu. An official remake of the Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol (2007), it was produced by Pushpa Kandaswamy, Aswani Dutt and G. P. Vijayakumar in two languages. Kuselan stars Rajinikanth in an extended guest appearance with Pasupathy and Meena. It also stars Vadivelu and Livingston in supporting roles. Sujatha was an Indian actress who performed and starred in a variety of unique characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, Aval Oru Thodar Kathai (1974). Kalyan is an Indian choreographer who has primarily worked on Tamil and Telugu language films as well as Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films.. After beginning his career as a dancer and actor, he has gone on to choreograph songs in over two hundred films as a popular choreographer. He has also been a Judge in the popular reality TV dance shows Jodi Number One and Kings of Dance for Vijay TV.
