"Gabriel" is a song by Roy Davis Jr. and Peven Everett.
It was first released in the U.S. in 1996 on Large Records, titled "Gabrielle". It originally states on the record that the track was produced by Davis Jr., with Everett providing vocals and performing trumpet on the song. [1]
In 1997, UK label XL Recordings licensed and released "Gabriel" with Peven Everett credited as a 'featured artist'. On this release, both Davis Jr. and Everett are credited as having written and produced the song, with Everett also credited as having provided lead and backing vocals, as well as having performed trumpet and keyboards. [2] The XL release featured more mixes of the track by UK duos Basement Jaxx and R.I.P. Productions as well as a mix by M-Beat on the CD single. The song received notable attention in Europe and became popular in the UK, with the single peaking at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart and remaining on the chart for five weeks. [3] It also reached No. 5 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. [4]
In November 2016, UK duo Gorgon City compiled a list of their top UK garage songs for Billboard , with "Gabriel" at #26. [5]
The Guardian listed the song at number 3 in their list of "The best UK garage tracks - ranked!" in 2019. [6]
In December 2017 for Dummy Mag, UK duo Original Dodger, formerly known as Artful Dodger, included "Gabriel" in their list of the "10 best UK garage tracks" [7] and in March 2019, the Heartless Crew included "Gabriel" in their list of the "10 Best UK Garage Tunes". [8]
Mixmag included "Gabriel" in their list of "40 of the best UK garage tracks released from 1995 to 2005", [9] and in their list of "16 of the Best Uplifting Vocal Garage Tracks". [10]

"Fly Life" is a song by English electronic dance music duo Basement Jaxx from their fourth extended play, EP3, released in 1996. The track was largely based on the 1996 single "Live Your Life with Me", which they produced for vocalist Corrina Joseph, their collaborator since 1995 in order to make "proper songs".
"Red Alert" is a song by English electronic music duo Basement Jaxx. It was released on 19 April 1999 by record label XL as the first single from their debut album, Remedy (1999). The vocals from the track were provided by Blu James. It reached number five on the UK Singles Chart and became their first number-one hit on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. As of July 2019, the single has sold 400,000 copies in the United Kingdom, allowing it to receive a Gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry.

"Movin' Too Fast" is a song by UK garage duo Artful Dodger, released on 26 July 1999. The song features Romina Johnson and was included on the duo's debut studio album, It's All About the Stragglers (2000). "Movin' Too Fast" was originally recorded by Johnson as a solo artist and appears on her debut album, Simply Passion, produced by Rolando Bacci Hardage. The Artful Dodger remix version of the track was first distributed as a white label vinyl release. After it was picked up by DJs, it was licensed to Locked On for mainstream distribution.

"Closer than Close" is a song by American musician Rosie Gaines, a former singer in Prince and the New Power Generation. After being released in 1995 as a track on her fifth album by the same name, bootlegs of garage mixes started appearing. Thus started a two-year mission by Glaswegian house and garage indie Big Bang Records to release the track properly in 1997. It peaked at number four in the UK and number six on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. "Closer than Close" is Gaines' most successful song to date, and widely considered as a club classic.
"Never Gonna Let You Go" is a song by American singer Tina Moore. Originally released as a single in May 1995 from her self-titled debut album, the song reached number 27 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In August 1997, a UK garage remix of the song by Kelly G was released on the Delirious label and became a top-10 hit in the UK, peaking at number seven on the UK Singles Chart. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 23 in September 1997. Several remixes are included on the CD and 12-inch formats, such as the 'Tuff Jam Classic Vocal Mix' and 'Warehouse Junkie Mix'.
Future Perfect is the debut studio album by British production duo Loadstar. The album was released on 26 May 2013 through RAM Records. Loadstar appeared on DJ Target and MistaJam's BBC Radio 1Xtra shows to promote the album. They also hosted an Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. The album charted at number 168 on the UK Albums Chart and also on the dance and indie charts.

UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from R&B, jungle and dance-pop. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular "2-step" rhythms. Garage tracks also commonly feature 'chopped up' and time-stretched or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure at a tempo usually around 130 BPM.

Productions, the song was officially released as a single twice, first in May 1997 where it reached No. 31 on the UK Singles Chart, then again in October in a new mix featuring vocals by MC Top Cat, peaking seventeen places higher at No. 14. The song appeared on their sole album, 7th High, released in 2001.
"Sincere" is the debut single by English UK garage musician MJ Cole, released in 1998. It features Nova Casper and Jay Dee on vocals. The song initially peaked at No. 38 on the UK Singles Chart, but a re-release in 2000 containing new mixes proved even more successful, peaking at No. 13. It also reached No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart.
"My Love" is a song by British singer Kele Le Roc. It was released as a single on 15 March 1999 as the second single from her debut album, Everybody's Somebody. Like her previous single "Little Bit of Lovin'", the song peaked at No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart, and it also peaked at No. 48 in New Zealand in January 2001. In 1999, the song won a MOBO Award for Best Single. Several remixes of the song became underground hits in the UK.

In France, it peaked at No. 78. The song interpolates the 1985 Sade hit, "The Sweetest Taboo".

"Love Shy" is a song by the Danish singer Kristine Blond, released as a single in 1998. It peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart. Two years later, it reached the top forty in the UK again, landing at number 28 in November 2000, due to the Club Asylum remix of the track becoming a UK garage club hit. The theme of the song discussed incelibacy and overcoming it.
