Gabriele Tagliaventi (born 1960 in Bologna, Italy) is an Italian architect, associated with the European Urban Renaissance and New Urbanism movements in Europe.
Tagliaventi was coordinator of the EU Program on medium-sized cities from 1993 to 1996 and visiting professor at the University of Miami School of Architecture from 1995 to 1997. Authors of various projects of architecture and town-planning, has received the 1st Prize at the International Competition for the Reconstruction of the Laeken Street in Brussels (1989), one of the five 1st Prizes at the International Competition for the Reconstruction of the Warsaw City Core (1992), the 1st Prize at the International Competition for the Reconstruction of the Marsham Street area in London (1996). Bellini has received several accolades in a variety of design fields, including eight Compasso d'Oro awards and the Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement by the Triennale di Milano. In 2019, the Italian President of the Chamber of Deputies, Roberto Fico, awarded Bellini a career medal in recognition of his contributions to Italian architecture and design.
The European Urban Renaissance is an architectural movement aiming at developing European cities according to traditional urban design principles and architectural styles. The movement is contemporaneous with the American New Urbanism movement.

Stefano Boeri is an Italian architect and urban planner, and a founding partner of Stefano Boeri Architetti. He is the professor of urban planning at the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Franco Archibugi was an Italian scholar in political, economic and social sciences, university professor in economic policy and spatial planning. He largely operated in Italy and in international governmental agencies; including in the field of economic development, social welfare and cooperation policy. Archibugi was the author of several works in planning theory and methodology, and was among the theorists and promoters of a new unitary discipline of planning – the “Planology” – aimed at creating a bridge between the theoretical scientific progress in economics and other social sciences with the actual political and administrative efficiency and management. After retiring from academia, he was still an active researcher as President of the Planning Studies Centre. He died in Rome in November 2020 at the age of 94.
