Ganga Yamuna is a 1997 Indian Kannada-language romance drama film directed by S. Mahendar and produced by Ghouse Peer. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar, Malashri and newcomer Ravinder Maan. Actress Suhasini Maniratnam featured in a cameo role. [1] The movie is a remake of 1994 Telugu movie Subhalagnam which was based on the 1993 American movie Indecent Proposal [2] which was based on the 1988 novel of same name which in turn was the inspiration for the 1991 Kannada movie Ajagajantara .

Soundtrack

The soundtrack of the film was composed by Vidyasagar.[ citation needed ] The song "Olave Mounava" was reused from his own composition "Okate Korika" from the Telugu film Chirunavvula Varamistava (1993) while the other song "Priya Ninna Neeli" was reused from the Hindi film Damini .

Bedara Kannappa is a 1954 Indian Kannada-language Hindu mythological film directed by H. L. N. Simha and written by G. V. Iyer. The film stars Rajkumar playing the title character along with Pandari Bai, Kushala Kumari, G. V. Iyer, Sandhya and Narasimharaju in other prominent roles. The film is an adaptation of the stage play Kaalahasti Charitre written by T. N. Balakrishna for the Gubbi Veeranna Nataka Company, which was based on the folk tale of the hunter Kannappa who proves his extreme devotion to the Hindu God Shiva by gouging out both his eyes.

Bhookailasa is a 1958 Indian Kannada language film directed by K. Shankar and produced by A. V. Meiyappan under the banner of AVM Productions. It stars Rajkumar, Kalyan Kumar and K. S. Ashwath in pivotal roles. The movie is a depiction of the legend prevalent in Gokarna, Karnataka and is also referred to as Gokarna Mahakshetra. It is based on the famous Kannada stage play Bhookailasa by Sri Sahitya Samrajya Nataka Mandali of Mysore which A. V. Meiyappan had earlier adapted into the Telugu movie titled Bhookailas in 1940. A.
