Gareth McAuley (born 14 October 1992) is a Northern Irish skeet shooter. [2] [3]
Gareth McAuley was born in Ballymoney, County Antrim in 1992.
McAuley started his shooting career at Route Gun Club, Ballymoney at the age of 16 in 2009, shooting English Skeet, and progressed onto Olympic Skeet the following year. McAuley qualified for his first Commonwealth Games and won a bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the skeet event. [4] [5] [6] [7] McAuley is also a two time Home International winner in Olympic Skeet, winning the event in 2016 at Lispopple CPC, Dublin and in 2018 at National Shooting Centre of Scotland.
He has also been a Commonwealth European Champion, winning the Skeet Men individual event in Dungannon, Northern Ireland in 2018. He also won gold the Skeet Team event with his brother Stephen McAuley, and also the Gold in the Skeet Mixed Team event with fellow Commonwealth Games athlete Alexandra Skeggs at the same venue.
He qualified for the Great Britain team for the first time in 2022, for the ISSF World Cups in Rabat, Morocco and Nicosia, Cyprus. [8] He also qualified for the ISSF World Cup in Lonato, Italy [9] , and also the ISSF Grand Prix held in Granada, Spain [10] . He qualified for his final event of the season at the ISSF World Cup in Changwon, South Korea [11] where along with teammates Ben Llewellin and Freddie Killander, won a Bronze medal in the Skeet Men team event [12] [13] .
The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It still is carried out in the Olympic shooting events, with four competitions per year in each event. For the best shooters there is since 1988 a World Cup Final.

Ronjan Sodhi is an Indian Double trap shooter. He won two silver medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games. In 2011, he became first Indian to successfully defend a World Cup title. He is also a recipient of the Arjuna Award and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award (2013).

Antonis Nikolaidis is a British-born Cypriot sport shooter. He captured a total of seven medals in men's skeet shooting at the ISSF World Cup series, and shared titles with Costas Stratis at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and with Georgios Achilleos in the doubles at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2006 Commonwealth Games. Nikolaidis also competed for Cyprus in the same discipline in three editions of the Olympic Games, but he neither reached the final round, nor claimed an Olympic medal.
Prakash Nanjappa is an Indian shooter who competes in the 10 metre air pistol and 50 metre pistol events. He was the only Indian to win a medal in the 2013 ISSF World Cup, when he won bronze with a very minor difference between the second place in 10 metre air pistol event in Changwon, South Korea. In the same event, he won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Apurvi Singh Chandela is an Indian Shooting player who competes in the 10 metre air rifle event. She won the gold medal in the 2019 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi. She is a recipient of Arjuna award.
Ankur Mittal is an Indian shooter. He has won gold in Double Trap event at 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships at Changwon, South Korea and a silver medal at the 2017 ISSF World Shotgun Championships at Moscow, Russia. He has received Bheem Award from Haryana State and Arjuna Award from President of India in 2018.
Junior Warrant Officer Ravi Kumar is an Indian sport shooter. He won the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon in the men's 10m air rifle team event, along with Abhinav Bindra and Sanjeev Rajput. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, he won bronze medal in the men's 10 metre air rifle event. He is a Junior Commissioned Officer in Indian Air Force.

She has won a total of three gold medals in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series, and the inaugural European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan. A member of the British national team, Hill trains under the tutelage of her personal coach Joe Neville at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in Wycombe. In February 2023, Hill married motocross racer James Rutter.
Mairaj Ahmed Khan is an Indian skeet shooter and two-time Olympian. Khan was the first Indian skeet shooter to qualify for the Olympics when he qualified for the Rio Olympics in 2015; he also competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. He has won gold at the ISSF World Shooting Championships, the Commonwealth Shooting Championships, and the Asian Shooting Championships. In 2021, Sportstar reported that Khan was ranked #24 in the world in skeet.
Diana Bacosi is an Italian shooter. She began shooting at 14. She represented her country in Women's skeet shooting at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she won the gold medal, and at the 2020 Summer Olympics where she won the silver medal.
