Gatecreeper is an American death metal band from Phoenix, Arizona.

History

Gatecreeper released a self-titled four song EP in 2014. [1] In 2015, Gatecreeper released a split with the band Take Over and Destroy. [2] [3] In 2015, Gatecreeper played the first show at the Rebel Lounge—former site of the Mason Jar—with The Atlas Moth and Take Over and Destroy. [4]

In 2016, the band was featured on a split with Homewrecker, Outer Heaven, and Scorched. [5] [6] In 2016, Gatecreeper released a split with the band Young and in the Way. [7] [8] That year, Gatecreeper released their debut full-length album on Relapse Records titled Sonoran Depravation. [9] [10] [11] [12]

In August 2019, Gatecreeper announced their new album Deserted, that was released on October 4, 2019 on Relapse Records. [13] Loudwire named it one of the 50 best metal albums of 2019. [14]

In January 2021, they released the An Unexpected Reality EP. The record was ranked number fourteen on Revolver 's list of the "25 Best Albums of 2021". [15]

In May 2024, they released their third full-length album, Dark Superstition.

The Dillinger Escape Plan is an American metalcore band. The band was formed in 1997 in Morris Plains, New Jersey by guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Adam Doll, vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, and drummer Chris Pennie. The band's use of dissonance, odd time signatures, polyrhythms and unconventional drum patterns became a staple of their sound, although later albums incorporated more melody, and influences from a range of genres. The band's lineup shifted numerous times throughout its existence; by the time the group dissolved, Weinman was the only remaining founding member. The final lineup also included longtime members Liam Wilson on bass, Greg Puciato as lead vocalist, and Billy Rymer on drums, alongside then-newcomer Kevin Antreassian on rhythm guitar.

Meshuggah is a Swedish extreme metal band formed in Umeå in 1987. Since 2004, the band's lineup consists of founding members Jens Kidman and Fredrik Thordendal, alongside rhythm guitarist Mårten Hagström, drummer Tomas Haake and bassist Dick Lövgren. Since its formation, the band has released nine studio albums, six EPs and eight music videos. Their latest studio album, Immutable, was released in April 2022 via Atomic Fire Records.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed is an American grindcore band. Its line-up has changed often over the years, with guitarist and drum programmer Scott Hull being the only continuous member. The current line-up includes vocalist Jay Randall, Richard Johnson of Enemy Soil and Drugs of Faith, and John Jarvis of Fulgora on bass guitar.

Exhumed is an American deathgrind band formed in San Jose, California, that is currently signed to Relapse Records. It is centered around vocalist-guitarist Matt Harvey, who is the leading force of the group, as well as the sole constant member. The band has released nine albums and eight split 7-inch singles. They were formed in 1990, went on hiatus in 2005, and reformed in 2010.

Rumpelstiltskin Grinder was a crossover thrash band from the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Rumpelstiltskin Grinder contained former members of the metal bands Solace in the Shadows, Evil Divine and XXX Maniak. They first released their live album "Raped by Bears". After that they released a single song split 7-inch entitled "Equipment Crusher" with Jumbo's Kill Crane on Red Candle Records. They then released a live CD-R entitled Raped By Bears-Live At The Dungeon 6/21/03. Their debut album Buried In The Front Yard was released on Relapse Records. Their second album entitled Living for Death, Destroying the Rest was released in January 2009. RsG played their first North American tour that year. Their third album Ghostmaker was released in 2012.

General Surgery is a Swedish goregrind group known as one of the earliest Carcass clones. Their 1991 debut Necrology was released by Relapse Records and would be General Surgery's only material released until 2001, when the group recorded one track for the Carcass tribute album, Requiems of Revulsion. However, in 2003, General Surgery reformed and released a split album with The County Medical Examiners and have since released a collection of demos, two split 7-inches, a 2005 demo, a split album with Butcher ABC, and two full-length albums.

Symphony of Heaven is a Christian blackened death metal band from Owensville, Indiana, United States. The band began in 2017 as a solo project, but morphed into a full band by 2019, consisting of Logan Thompson (guitars/vocals), David Napier (bass), Eero Tertsunen (guitars), and Mason Beard (drums). The band has released two studio albums, two EPs, and a split release. According to HM Magazine, the band is "one of the best death metal acts to form in the past four years" as of 2021.
