Gaurav Khanna (born 11 December 1981) [1] is an Indian television actor. He is known for his roles of Neil in Jeevan Saathi , Inspector Kavin in CID , and Akshay in Tere Bin . [2] [3] He currently plays the role of Anuj Kapadia in Star Plus's Anupamaa , for which he won the Indian Telly Award for Actor in a Lead Role (Jury). [4]

Career

Khanna worked as a marketing manager in an IT firm for nearly a year before switching careers. He started his career appearing in television commercials. [5] [6] His first appearance on a television show was in Bhabhi . His next role was in Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan . Khanna's first lead role was in Meri Doli Tere Angana in 2007.[ citation needed ]

Personal life

In early 2016, Khanna was revealed to be dating television actress Akanksha Chamola. [7] [8] The couple was married on November 24, 2016 in Khanna's hometown of Kanpur. [9] [10] [11]

The show is produced by Triangle Film Company and is inspired on the popular 1888 Hindi novel Chandrakanta by Devaki Nandan Khatri. The dialogue writer for the show is Shailesh Pratap singh The show telecasted on Life OK from 4 March 2017 on Saturday-Sunday at 9 pm. First promo of the show was released on 8 February 2017. A special sequence of the show was also shot at the Golkonda Fort in Hyderabad. Show went off-air abruptly on 27 August 2017.
